But only from the Malevolent Bugman… Jeanne swears it’s something I bring out in him. She also swears that he’s warming up to me. Hmm.
“You will submit to my will, puny human. Go get me some Kitty Kaviar and be quick about it.”
First we got comfy in our sweats and readied our cameras.
“Chris, if you post this picture on your blog, I might have to kill you.”
We loaded up on wine and snacks.
I was settled in with a cat on my lap – truly, all the comforts of home.
“Don’t be honored by my presence – it’s because you’re sitting in my chair.”
We watched about three minutes of the opening ceremonies, found ourselves wondering WTF, and switched to Shrek 2, The Princess Bride, and Pitch Black. We did manage to switch back right in time to see the torch lighting extravaganze.
“Let me know when they’re going to light the torch.”
And at the end of the night (around 2 a.m.), we both had respectable progress to show.
Yummy, lots of good food, kitty’s and knitting. What more can you ask for?
I’m gonna half to get me some of that Four Play…!
(Now that’s funny, I don’t care who you are!)
Hee hee – I know, I think it should win a yarn name contest of some sort. 🙂
Looks like you did quite a bit. Go, go, go Team Chaos!
Looks like it was a great evening all around. Your sweater looks great (so far) 🙂
I agree that the first couple of minutes of the opening we a bit out there – then it really did get much better & had several “wow” moments.
Knit on!
Great progress! Has Chaos forgiven you for going out for the night?
How did Chaos take to the scent of Jeanne’s cats on his Chris? Was he green-eyed with envy? 😉
mmm… chocolate! yeah – the opening ceremonies really did suck. I started watching when they got to the “M” countries – that helped a bit.
;o) Looks like great progress and a great night! Ahh.. Princess Bride and Shrek 2 with wine and knitting ;o)
What beautiful cats!
Does Chaos not get along with the other kitties? Too bad he couldn’t join the party. Now to keep from finishing any knitting of my own!
Thanks for the photo-show! Looks like you had fun, and man, did you get a lot of knitting done. I guess I shoulda had me some wine…
Howdy! Yeah, Opening Ceremonies were right up there with al things Craptastic. But it looks like you had a fun crowd, as did I. But I haven’t blogged about it yet. Been finishing Secret Pal Knitting. And showing Julie how to blog…
Go Hourglass Sweater Knitter!
That cat, in the first picture? Doesn’t look happy.
Awesome! All I had was cats and I was pretty happy. Had I been able to knit at the same time, while watching the olympics, my life would have been complete.
PS, I need to see a picture of our lovely host sometime too.
aaaAAAaaahhh! That pale grey cat. Must … have … cat …
I’m in lurve.
ah the knitting, the cats… but mostly THE FOOD!!!!!
What happened to the other half of what I can only assume “used ” to be a chocolate cake? Perhaps you took it home in a kitty bag?
I love the kitty pics! And the cheese and crackers *almost* look good (give me a couple days, ol 😉
Hmm, Chris has been photographing ‘other cats’…is Chaos jealous? Lovely kitties, tho’. Looks like a lot was accomplished (knitting, eating, drinking, good video watching…fun!)
Looks like you guys got off to a great start!
My daughter and I spent a great deal of time goofing on the silly outfits. They looked like Oompa-Loompas, I tell you.
Great Pics – the Vampire just about fainted when he saw the silver cat, he made me steal the pic to send to his girlfriend. I enjoyed the expanded report of your visit… and was VERY impressed by your progress. How did you get that much done while watching all those movies and eating all that food??? Admit it – you’ve got at least 3 hands, don’t you?
