- New releases: Smart Bitches (romance), Book Riot (best out this week, queer, nonfiction, YA, comics/graphic novels, mysteries/thrillers, romance), Reactor (scifi, fantasy), Gizmodo (SFF/horror)
- Linkity from Smart Bitches.
- Linkity from BookWyrm Knits.
- “Dystopian books have taken over the bestseller lists… That can’t be a good sign“.
- The six stages of having too many books.
- 25 recipes for desserts that don’t use eggs.
- Very cute!
- If you’re in the market for a castle…
- It’s a little too fancy for me, but it is an exceptionally well done church conversion.
- Nice not-a-treehouse.
- Very brown late MCM.
- Wallpaper choices were made. Poor ones.
- Ceiling medallions for everyone!
- Way too much marble inside.
- Extremely disappointed in this allegedly castle-themed house.
- Just the repainting alone is going to be very expensive.
- But where does that living room stove pipe come out???
- WTF – they “opened it up” by partially removing walls – leaving behind the framing/studs.
- Something’s gone awry.
- Kitchen fail.
- No. That fireplace has a body count.
- D’oh.
- Watch that first step.
- Huh.
- :sigh:
Mayhem did not agree to be photographed.
I mostly like that brown MCM (on the interior, at least), just needs removal of gray floor tile and chair slipcover, plus adding in a good bit of color. Kind of a sad exterior, though.
I think many of the people who owned the houses this week were .ar-TEEST-s”.
Scary fireplaces scares me
Whew, I’m only on stage 2 of “having too many books.” That means I can buy more, right?
Also, yeah. It’s especially not a good sign when CLASSIC dystopians are making the best seller lists. I could brush it off if it was the new Hunger Games book or something, but Parable of the Sower, Fahrenheit 451, and 1984? Not a good sign. (Or perhaps it is a good sign? It means people are paying at least a little attention?)
Hi cute kitties! You’re all looking lovely today.
That little cottage is super-cute, but I couldn’t live long-term in a house that didn’t have an oven. I don’t like that glass not-a-treehouse; I would constantly feel like someone was watching me through all those huge windows. I would have really liked that Rancho Mirage, CA house except for all the weird wallpaper choices (and the price tag).
I do NOT LIKE that fireplace. I especially would not like that fireplace at night in dim lighting.
Oregon is lovely, but I do not intend to buy a house that’s moments away from falling into the ocean.
That is sure a deadly first step… no thanks! Wait… those are Magic The Gathering stairs? I thought it was a hallway. No thanks to that, too!
