Linkity wonders where the heck the year is going

Polly and Harry turn four years old on Monday!

Where has the time gone?!?!

  1. The “fun one” reminds me a lot of the “bones” of my old house. Same exterior style, same window trim on the inside, same door to the basement, same high ceilings, similar front door, etc. Not surprising given that they are of a similar time period. Shows how cute my house could have been if we’d ever wanted to gut it and remodel it. (But it did have its own quirky charm.)

The Swiss chalet is adorable – or would be, if it wasn’t painted all that ghastly white. Jazzed up with some fun colors it could be a real winner.

  2. Time Capsule house must be mine! How have I even survived without a Roller Disco room? Where do I buy a sculpted vacuum? And the price? It’s worth twice that much just to preserve it exactly as it is. Except …

I could get rid of that bland mat in the Fan Room, and we could install the carpet from the Very Curious steps/ramp? I don’t want to want it, but I want it.

  3. Happy birthday to the kitties! I’ve been wondering where the year is going, too.

That Ontario mansion with the amazing library is lovely! (Though way out of my price range.) The MD house is a little bit closer to my price range (or maybe not, with all of the fixes needed) but you’re right that the library is still cool.

I love that nautical-themed place in CT! The hobbity house is cute, but I fear the rounded ceilings would get to me. The Swiss Chalet house is super cute, but too bad the owners painted everything white!

Oh wow, I think I love that Art Deco house in LA. (Though I don’t want to live in LA.) But I have a hard enough time cleaning a regular tile bathroom. I don’t know how I would manage to clean the porous cement and wood. I guess at that point you hire someone to do it for you.

So I see that you not only found stairs that can kill you this week, but also a ramp that can kill you. I don’t know how more of these homes aren’t haunted with all the death traps in them.
