Reading Update
You Can’t Touch My Hair and Other Things I Still Have to Explain by Phoebe Robinson. Gave myself a bit of whiplash, starting this right after Me and White Supremacy and White Fragility, but it was good to take a break with a lighter look at heavy issues.

Oy. My niece-in-law and her family (husband, 2 young kids and an elderly MIL with health issues) are going to Disney World for her husband’s birthday this summer. SMH.

We (Gen X) are definitely quietly sneaky. And please don’t make us talk on the phone. (I’m a late Gen X-er, but still most of what you described applies.)

I have a hard time believing that after leaving my house 5 MANDATORY times weekly, I would then choose to leave again over the weekend.
