Reading Update
The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern. Very good fantastical tale set in the late 19th and early 20th century – there are multiple, seemingly disconnected nonlinear story threads that slowly spiral together in quite unexpected (to me, at least!) ways.
“Ignoring you until you put that camera away, Mom!!!” -Mayhem
The wildflower field guide was a riot.
Oy. Just looking at those photos of living underground make me shudder.
maybe I should give The Devourers another go. I quit reading pretty early on
OMG that cake!
Yes. BOOM. . . . *sigh*
Cats are pet monsters. I love that description.
My dad always drew the best etch-a-sketch pictures when I was a kid. I would play around with it and then get bored, but he would draw crazy intricate pictures of trains or airplanes or stuff. Then my sis and I would try our darnedest not to shake the thing because we didn’t want to mess up the picture. 🙂 I think he still draws etch-a-sketch pics for the grandkids, but I don’t know if they realize how difficult it is, being kids of the touchscreen generation.
