WARNING: Not suitable for those sensitive to violence against miniskeins

“Oh, what have we here?”
“It’s just so cute!”

“Really, I can’t help myself…”

“It’s so totally not my fault.”

“Must steal the cuteness!”

“Banzai!”

  1. Ooh, someone joined the STR socks club! The miniskein is just awesome! I love all the action shots of Chaos, too funny!
It’s always nice when you get to meet knitbloggers in person. It’s such a great experience. I love the Monica Ferris mysteries set in Excelsior. I was wondering why it sounded familiar.

  2. My box arrived yesterday and after I opened it, I closed it back up and left it on the dining room table to show to Dale when he got home. Mason went over and opened the box himself and pulled out the big skein and tried to walk off with it. How is it that our cats recognize good quality sock yarn?!?

  3. I hid my mini-skein as soon as it arrived. I have technically 5 yarn theives in the house between cats and kids. Now, if I can only remember where I put it…

  4. I’m wishing i signed up for that now but what can you do. By the end of it Chaos will have a nice collection of mini skein toys,.

  5. Chris – I actually thought about Chaos when I saw that emergency STR key chain……..not kidding.
It could be because the package that I opened right before the STR box was the package from you – with the blue square! Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Did you let Chaos keep the mini-skein?

  6. Cute! I’m glad Chaos has a new toy. My husband loves the pictures too. Unfortunetly, I couldn’t afford membership, so I’ll have to live vicarouisly through everyone who could.

  7. Ooooo–the STR club–I’m envious/jealous and happy for you at the same time 🙂 I’m just glad Chaos didn’t take a liking to the big skein–so did you ever get the little one back or has he taken it as his own?

  8. Kally just saw this post and she is fuming mad at me. She wants her keychain right now! Grrrs gonna be mad for a long time, I waited too long to join.

  9. Chaos deserves that mini skein just for being so cute! I got my box yesterday and since it’s just me and the spousal unit here, the mini skein is mine, all mine.

  10. Okay, seriously, how CUTE is that miniskein?! Add Chaos to the picture and you’re off the charts. 😉 What an awesome package!! Take care, Chris! 🙂

  11. That is utterly adorable. And it makes sense – they sent a skein for you to knit with, and a cat-sized skein for Chaos. Maybe you’ve found the next SRM?

  12. where’s the violence? it looks like kitty adoration in the works there…

i am *trying* to do some super cute as gloves from *the happy hooker* book… you know… crochet? but the f-ing pattern isn’t making sense to me and i can READ patters you know what i’m sayin?

if i post all webdings like you’ll understand why…

  13. That is Hi-larious!!! #1, I love the mini skein, what a great marketing ploy…I am so going to have to order some Socks That Rock & #2 Chaos is a riot, but then again he’s just being a cat:)

  14. It looks like Chaos has been taking lessons from Simon, who, weirdly, is sitting on my lap and appears to be looking at the pictures! Oh, no! Now he’s going to insist that I join the STR club!!!!

  15. Looks like you indulged in the same membership I did 🙂 I finished one tiger today and am halfway through another. Poor Mr. Aldritch will not likely see the pair though:

“hey now hey now n-now that’s just the way it will be…hey now hey now n-now security don’t like them dps….” ***CV

  16. yarn and a cat toy too! What more could a knitter ask for from a club.

Now, I am seriously jealous, that skein is the most gorgeous colour…. sigh.

  17. Too funny. I can tell already I’m going to be sad I didn’t just go ahead and sign up for the STR club. Beautiful stuff. I can’t wait to see what you make. Are you going to make the pattern she sent with it?
