Oh, you are a Mermaider! Do check out the Hanne Falkenberg Knit along here. Do check with Amy! for her spreadsheet (line by line knitting instructions). While I’m doing the simple Pagode instead of Mermaid–everyone says Amy’s spreadsheet is very helpful. Here’s a link to her latest post on the spreadsheet.
That is so tempting!!! I can’t wait to see how it turns out.I wish you hadn’t reminded me about Cucumber Patch though. I’m trying really hard not to order anything new!
Ohhhhhhh!!!!!! You bought that which we all covet!!!!! I’m so jealous. I love that!!! I love the colors you chose!!! I look forward to seeing you knit it!
Forgive the exhuberance, but that is just the coolest pattern in the world.
Gorgeous colors! I am working on Mermaid in #4 (greens), but this may have to be next on my list. It is beautiful. Definitely get the spreadsheet from Amy. It is a huge help. I don’t know if you are going to be able to wait until Fall. It’s addicting….
Mermaid is a fun knit — who’d think it with all that garter! Anyway, maybe this will get me to abandon socks for a bit and get back to mine. I’m just at the middle of the back….
Oh, that does look wonderful! You must start it soon so that I can live vicariously through you. I just have a feeling that even if I knit that, it would not look good on a wide-hipped person such as myself. But I can dream…
All these beautiful Mermaid colors make me want to do one too. I had better stick to the Hanne I have on the needles right now though(Decapo). I look forward to your progress
Can’t wait to see it knit up! The colors are amazing and the pattern is so beautiful. I just got a package from Cucumberpatch UK, too- I love their EBay store! Take care and have a fantastic weekend, Chris! 🙂
Those colors are gorgeous! I have the kit in red/orange/coral. The pattern is super easy and so clever. I’m sure you’ll love it.
That is going to be wonderful. I love the colors! :::must resist buying a Mermaid kit::::
I just saw that mermaid pattern somewhere in my “wanderings,” and thought it was so cute. Can’t wait to see yours knit up!
hummm saw this on Scout’s blog as well, i’m interested to see it knit up!
I love Cucumber Patch! You can usually find some awesome Rowan really cheap there. Are you starting the kit right away?
It’s going to be gorgeous. I bought the tweedy kit over a year ago and haven’t made it yet. Shame, shame, shame.
Anything else you wanna show to get us StashaLongers fall off the wagon?
Oooh, you lucky thing! Can’t wait to see it all knit up!
ohhhhhh. I’m jealous.
What a beautiful colorway it is too.
Damn you. I’d forgotten about Cucumber Patch, and you had to put such a graphic reminder right in front of me.
Oooooh, Eeeek!
You need to cast that on RIGHT NOW!
Oooh, gorgeous! That looks like a very fun sweater to knit – I can’t wait to see progress pictures. You must. start. NOW!
Didn’t I see this on Scout’s blog? Didn’t she really like it? Is she gonna be jealous?

That’s awesome! I can’t wait to see it finished. I really love the colors
I’m closing this link and deleting it from memory.
buh-bye!
Your colors for Mermaid are lovely- I saw a green one at our Guild last night, I like yours better.
Chris, are you going to MAKE that? Are you really? The more I learn about you the more I wish I knew you for real.
How cool.
Very pretty, is there shadow-knitting in it?
Lovely colors in that kit!

When do you actually knit? My day only has 24 hours in it and I never seem to get enough time.
Perhaps Chaos can read and saw “Mermaid” and figured it was still some kind of fish??
Huh…that looks awfully familiar!
Golly, I go away for a few days and you get a fab coat! I’m sure you’ll let us know how it knits up.
Oh, what a gorgeous jacket. I want to make that too and that is one of my favored colorways. Can’t wait to see that one all knitted up!
Ooohh. I love that jacket. Can’t wait to see how it knits up. Promise to tell us all about it. 😀
that is seriously going to ROCK!! cant wait to see you knit it up (uhh yeah Im behind in my blog reading :P)
Oh wow, that’s going to be really elegant! And not “my foot in the camera” elegant, either, but the real thing. 😉
Holy Smoke! That’s the jacket everyone’s talking about. Wow! I can’t even speak!
