If you know anything about Minnesota, you know it’s the land of 10,000 summer festivals. Amy has a great list of selected July offerings. Curses! Missed the Viola Gopher Count again! 😉
I have now worked for the same company for 12 years, although said company is now on its fourth or fifth name since I started!
Does this lolcats remind you of Mayhem?! And this could definitely be Chaos.
My “legacy” iPod shuffle, Bake Neko, is ok! True, it isn’t as sleek and sexy as the new Shuffles and Nanos, but it is an excellent size for carrying along on walks.
So I walked again last night, with musical accompaniment. Hopefully it will become a habit before I even notice it happened… (Shhh! Don’t clue me in on it!)
Probably I should not bring along my camera for my next 10 or 20 walks, since I took an awful lot of pictures last night. I’ll try not to overwhelm y’all with too many pictures at once.
Aren’t lions more traditional?!
Does Woodrow here (located in the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden) remind you of a certain horse that cavorts with flamingos?
Hmm… Embiggen to read the sign on the left!
“No way are you catching me in a compromising picture like you did the big kitty yesterday! I’m going to sit here and do absolutely nothing.” -Mayhem
You live in a most interesting neighborhood. I wouldn’t have guessed you could walk to so many odd things in one evening.
Glad your ipod is working! I have one of those first generation shuffles and even with my new nano, I love the shuffle.
Right, Mayhem….how long did that last?
The dogs are very unusual and attractive. Lions are so passe.
Kitty loaf! *pat pat pat*
Lions are good, but I like the goggies too!
Good plan Mayhem, some mom’s like to share those embarrassing photos 😉
It’s a shame you missed the Gopher Count, but hey, August is coming, and there’s a doozy of a festival–as a teaser: mashed potato wrestling.
But dogs are more inviting!!
Nothing is what kitties do best! Especially in the heat.
Hip Hip Horray for your iPod.
Congratulations on your anniversary!! That’s a big accomplishment, especially in your industry.
“Attack hairdresser”? I would SO get my hair cut at a salon displaying that sign! 🙂
I never get sick of your photos. That first one (with the guard dogs) is awesome! I once saw a house with a guard hippo in front of it. I regretted not having a camera that entire trip.
Hurray for the shuffle’s return to health! I’d stay far away from the shop with that sign.
Chris- It’s true, you don’t want to be around your hairstylist when they’re in a grumpy mood- they carry really sharp scissors.
Great MO Mayhem.
And she didn’t say it, but….buy Amy’s book! More weird things to see! :o)
I guess you’ve been in my neighborhood so you know there isn’t much to photograph on walks about our house except perhaps the street signs. I always enjoy going on your walks though!
Same artist on the horsies? I ran into an artist somewhere that made those horses – wish I could remember where.
yeah, the husky guard statues… hmm
Not dogs, those are direwolves from A Game of Thrones. Yes, I am obsessed with the audiobook I am currently listening to.
at least you have some very interesting things to gaze at while you walk. that sign is too funny.
Love those German Shepard Dogs, but yes, you’re right, Lions are more traditional…
the LOLcats are great!
(((hugs)))
That is a great LOLCat!
At first, I thought the horse WAS the one from yesterday, and you snuck up for a closer look. But then I realized it was different.
Well, at least May is cute when she sits there and does nothing! (And the bat transformation did remind me of your two when I saw in on the LOLcats site not long ago…)
“Beware of Attack Hairdresser?”
Maybe they’re referring to the same crazy bitch that cut Dave’s hair?
Looks like Mayhem’s bat transformation didn’t take.
Attack Hairdresser? LOL!
Twelve years at one company?! I wonder what that would be like….
We seem to be having a lot of festivals in our summer plans too! It helps having fun things to do locally when gas prices are so insane.
Ditto the company thing, except it’s “only” been ten years here. Maybe we should start our own?
I’m curious about that shop window… what is the shop about?
Yeah but anyone could have lions at their door. Maybe you can catch the gopher count next year. 🙂
I thought about May when I saw that lolcats the other day.
Attack hairdresser, huh? LOL!
Aha! Mayhem is doing classic kitty pose # 303.
I preferred my old ipod shuffle too, but it was stolen, so now I have one of the new ones. I prefer the slimmer versions
Attack hairdresser – hehe 🙂 Your neighbourhood looks like an interesting place to walk.
I’m glad to hear everything is okay. Give your little house panthers a scritch from me and Meemers.
