Cat box turtle

Thanks for your kind thoughts, everyone – yesterday was another somewhat crazy day at work, enhanced by a migraine. Bless my migraine shots! Today – hey, at least I’m working from home, right?! 🙂

Holly’s having a “What dreams have you deferred?” contest. Leave her a comment about your deferred dream and you could win a very cute handsewn tissue cover (it has a face!).

Over the weekend, the weather was nice enough to go out walking. It’s finally starting to look like spring around here!

The grass and dandelions are thriving, but many of the trees have taken a more cautious approach – can you see how bare some of them are back there?

Hmm… I wonder if the owner of this car is into the fiber arts?

No time for a leisurely stroll, apparently…

Even the turtles were out sunning at Lake of the Isles.

Speaking of turtles…

  1. Hi!!! I missed you guys! Finnegan says hi, too!

Glad you escaped the bib-scapades, although you do have to admit those colours were pretty nice.

Again with the empty boxes, Chaos…

    🙂

  2. And yet cats do not like going into the small carrier to go to the vet’s. Perhaps those carriers are actually too big and the cats would prefer transit in a shoe box…

  3. My eyes are itchy just looking at the first two pictures – allergies!! I used to think turtles had little apartments inside their shells – is it true Chaos??

  4. Hope today’s off to a better (and migraine-free) start for you! When I saw the title “cat box turtle” I immediately envisioned a turtle sitting in the litter box, I’m afraid. Chaos in the shoe box was a huge step up!

  5. There’s something about a handsome guy in a hybrid….

Glad to hear you’re on the upswing and working from home. Watch out for the 6-ft. rule!

  6. Sorry to hear about the migraine! ugh! I came into work, sneezed about 15 times (confirming my suspicion that I’m getting a cold) and scooped up my papers and went home to work. May we all feel better soon!

  7. looks like you are having some fun with the new camera. And I’m glad that your migraine was gone enough to get out and walk.
silly Chaos – I suspect that he thinks he’s invisible when under that box.

  8. Sorry to hear about the migraine – hopefully you’re doing much better. When I saw the title of this post… well… I just didn’t know WHAT I was going to see. I think I’m relieved.

  9. Ugh, migraines suck! Do you do the Imitrex shots? I was part of their testing trials way back in 1994. I just use the pills now, but probably should have some of the shots on hand for the doozers of doozers of migraines.

Thanks for posting my contest–your the sugar on my cereal (and I mean sugar on my froot loops!).

  10. Looks kind of like that around here… still some rather bare trees. I’ve been thinking about shoes… I recently bought a new pair of danskos, mary-janish. they are wicked cute, but after a day of walking around, not so comfortable, it’s the strap… so maybe I’ll get more shoes… keens this time! Who knew I was Imelda? (dh calls me that, but really, compared to most women, NOT!)

  11. I share your pain. Literally. A migrane woke me up early this morning and I still hurt. Maybe I’ll got find a box to hide under until it goes away. Hey, Chaos, care to share?

  12. Wow, you get migraine shots? I’ve never even heard of them over here…..

I want energy shots – I could definitely do with those 🙂

  13. I like the dandelions.

Spring came late this year. We had spring for a day or so. Now we are in to record breaking highs. We’ve already been over 100 degrees multiple times.
