Hee hee – I thought this was a pretty good lolcats.
In addition to Celestine, I’ve also been working on a pair of… socks. These socks are from Panda Cotton Print (cotton, bamboo, elastic nylon), color Night Lights. I don’t know why it didn’t occur to me sooner that these would be somewhat lurid vivid socks. At first I was going to use a pattern with a relatively plain foot (K2 P2 *K* P2 K2) and a lacy cuff, but after knitting 3″ of cuff, I had to admit that the lace was completely lost in this colorway. The sock now has a 2×2 rib cuff.
I don’t plan to knit with Panda Cotton ever again – although it makes a great knitted fabric, it’s evilly splitty if your attention wanders for but a moment. Bah.
“Of course I’m not preparing to pounce. What would gave you that idea?” -Chaos
“Bwa-ha-ha!!!” -Chaos
Gotta go! Hope I can save my sock… and my foot!
Do they like, glow in the dark? 😉
That’s a very interesting pattern on the foot
Ack! The claws!
I like the bright colors and the crazy design forming on the foot 🙂
That is one funky colourway! Looks like the Northern Lights, actually.
Chaos’s little feets look like they could do some serious damage!
I’ve not heard good things about Panda Cotton. I hope you won the battle!
I do like the way the colors have pooled on your foot, there. Looks like someone needs a claw clipping. Hah…
Love the colors and the pattern. Lestat is kinda scary!!!!
That’s quite a dramatic set of claws there! I hope sock and foot survived!
I love the colorway! I have some of the Panda cotton in pink; thanks for the splittiness warning.
Hey, Chaos, no blood on the hand-knits, please.
Bah! Banish the splitty yarns! I just struggled through a scarf with a terrible offender. I think I knit every singele stitch twice!! Then I ruined it’s squishyness with blocking 🙁
Yea – I can see what you mean about lace and that colorway – holy cow! OK, those Chaos claws look ouchy.
Hope you successfully unhooked yourself from the kitty claws without any snags. Splitty yarns = headaches. I love the bright colors though, these socks are really, really pretty! LeStat Cat… snort, giggle.
Love the colors!
Ha ha ha! Loved the LOLCAT! Don’t give your kitties any ideas, though, or it may be more than your sock in peril.
The pooling is wild and reminds me of those black light posters of my youth. I bet they still sell them at Spencers…
that sock had it comin’
Some socks never learn.
(that was an awesome LOLcats.)
Chris- they are lurid- but I like them.
I’m not a fan of cotton to knit with.
I love wearing all black … and then having socks that POW! you in the face.
Awesome!
It’s the 60s all over again. 😉 I like them though. I keep knitting with them it seems but I have problems knitting most cotton yarns.
The colorway reminds me of the way our old TV would look when it didn’t get great reception, with the lines of gray scrolling up the screen and distorting the colors… Heh. Would be strange to wear on a foot, though. 🙂
splitty yarn.. bah, ick.
it must the bamboo content – my kitties go nuts over bamboo.
the socks sure are wild and fun tho 😀
It is a cool colorway though. I like it.
Yeah, I saw that lolcats and thought of you.
It reminds me of an ’80s video game screen!
Wow — that is bright! But there’s definitely black and purple in there…
Hey…those socks look like what I see before a migraine! 😉
Ha! the lolcat was HI-LAR-I-OUS! And I like the black with the scary bright colours. Although the splittiness will convince me not to buy. I will keept he colourway in mind for something else, I think!
That is a great lolcat. Poor unsuspecting gray kitty.
Those socks look very cool! For once I like the striping.
Those are awesome socks! Pity about the splittiness though.
Slightly lurid there, ma’am. Just SLIGHTLY.
Great colors!
Man, that vampire (or “vamhire” as my son calls them” is just great!
That yarn is weirdly technicolor. It looks like the patterning you get on a tv screen when the signal is screwed up!
Wow! I love that colourway so much I may have to brave the splitty Panda Cotton to have it. Pretty!
Wow – I’m glad I didn’t get to this until night time. That would have shocked me too much at 6:30 in the morning! Yikes.
Oh no, any claw mark pulls on the socks? They remind me of a zebra on LSD. (no I do not have prior experience)
I don’t know why, but they remind me of those television screens late at night, before something like the Twilight Zone comes on. Hmmm.
Nice socks !!
That is some crazy yarn. I like it, but um, lurid. Yeah, good descriptive word for those socks and yarn.
