If so, then I guess it’s spring. 🙂

Looking for an adorable new kitten? Live in central Minnesota? Limedragon has info about a kitten that her aunt recently rescued.
Apparently Mayhem isn’t the only one who’s inspired to acrobatics by flying toys – Deb’s black kitty Sammy sure seems to be enjoying her new toy, doesn’t she?
Over the weekend, I finished that mysterious item I was knitting. Not surprisingly, it was a pair of socks. 🙂 The pattern was my variant of Rebecca’s Spirited Socks pattern, using an early and experimental test dyeing of her Black Beauty colorway. I knit one sock from each end of the ball of yarn.
“Hey, it was past time for a new cat bed around here. Cool.” -Mayhem
“Oh no – a mussed spot on my leg! Nobody look, please!! The shame…” -Mayhem
What? You couldn’t get a good look at the socks?! Ok…
Nice cat bed!
Doesn’t look very comfortable, May! Don’t you know that before you can lay down, you have to scratch it to fluff it up, circle it a couple of times and then for good measure, scratch it a bit more?
Funky socks…I like them! May’s coat is very beautiful and shiny. Good work, May!
Thanks for the mention! : ) Cute socks!
What a great colourway! I don’t see a mussed up spot May…
Why do kitties lie over everything?? WHY??!!!!
Great socks! I love your taste in colors. 🙂
The socks did turn out beautifully. Tell that cat that your whole apartment is a cat bed!! Sheesh!
I love the shades of the socks and how the pooling looks. Happy Monday!
i’m waiting for the day you make a pair of socks and put one on each cat’s head
Very nice socks, with and without spokesmodel
Still knitting the first spirited sock…
Lovely pair. Purple. Of course. 🙂
Nice Socks!
(((hugs)))
The socks are great! I like the funky pattern. I also like the term “spirited socks”. They’d go well with my spirited boy. 🙂
Chris- I got a sunburn last week- I couldn’t believe it.
Nice socks- place anything soft on the floor and it’s guaranteed a cat will lay on it.
I think they’re spirited!
Thanks for the shoutout 🙂
Oh – they reverse match almost perfectly! Very cool.
Very nice socks!
I like the way the yarn pooled on these.
What beauties – the socks, and the beautiful black cat. Thanks for posting gorgeous things to look at on a Monday morning.
You would think we would know better by now, I too was sunburnt this weekend. I like the socks.
Your socks look great!
It was socks? No way! So… Have you counted them yet? Cause I’m still waiting. Maybe we could enter you in the book of world records! *Gasp* I could know someone famous!
Btw, my boy is a tard. I gave him your package to mail out and then just assumed that he had. He didn’t. I found it in his car yesterday. I’ll be mailing it out this week.
Purple and black, hmmm, I’ve seen this colorway around your place before haven’t I? Nice socks.
Oh you prodigious sock knitters….. Know what I noticed this winter for the first time? Sun damage on my forearms! Gads…. subtle, but I see it for what it is. In a certain light today I could almost see the line where my rolled up sleeves would be. So, all you youngsters, wear your sunscreen even on your forearms!!!! Or when you’re an old lady of 47, little brown spots will start appearing, and they aren’t cute like freckles.
Multipurpose knitting! Socks and a cat bed!
Yup, sunburn=spring! Now, for the sunscreen…where did I put it? Raven, get back here! That tube is not a toy….
I like the stitch pattern on these socks — just a little interest, but not too showy.
Yours turned out nice. And so nice of May to break them. Hope your sunburn isn’t too painful. I always start the year with one before I get really serious about sunscreen.
Nice socks! I like the colors. I’m sure May is excited to have her cat bed back. 🙂
Cat Dancers are all the rage with kitties these days.
I got my first sunburn this weekend as well…tooling around in my convertible. I think it’s spring.
Gwen
and here all my friends had been wondering what I would do with so many socks…. a cat bed.. perfect.
and what.. no photos of the sunburn? (or is it alleged sunburn (grin). We had snow (yes! an inch!) here last weekend.
Yep, I would have liked that kitten 🙂 Thank goodness we don’t live in MN or we’d be overrun with felines (oh, hang on a second, we already are!).
Those are beautiful socks – Fraro does lovely work. I’ve been debating what to do with the black beauty she sent me and now I’ve seen how beautifully your socks have turned out…
Thanks for posting the study. It was interesting to participate.
I really like the color blobs on those socks. (I know, I’m weird, I like color blobs.)
And, purple and black! What a nice change! 😉
Our Perdita does acrobatics as well when she plays – well she did. Hopefully she will be as acrobatic again when out of solitary confinement.
Hmmm, I’m rather jealous of those socks. Very nice indeed 🙂
