Flat Mayhem

Local craftblogger Becka is having a goldfish names contest and the prize is a really cool felted bowl. There is also a prize for the most creative wrong answer! Winners will be announced June 11.

Chelsey’s coordinating the Official Knitter’s Book Swap Volume 1, in which knitters will swap their favorite non-knitting books. To participate, send her an email by 7 pm EDT, June 14.

There’s going to be a blogger meet up at Estes! Thanks for organizing this, Margene.

And even more tummies!

Ok, I have to admit it – I’m completely fascinated by Mayhem’s frog pose. You might’ve noticed. 😉 She spends a lot of time like that, so I’ve gotten some interesting shots. For reference, that chair rung is 4 inches from the floor.

*swish swish swish* -the sound of Mayhem’s tail

*swish swish swish* -more with the tail

  1. Can’t say I’ve ever seen Alfie do that. (or any other cat for that matter, come to think of it) But he started trying to chew the corner of my book last night, so obviously I need to monitor his computer time more closely. Ahem.

  2. Good thing Mayhem’s not a tan cat; you might then mistake her for a gluten free pancake and slather her in syrup and butter.

  3. That must be some obsecure form of kitty yoga. Miss Mayhem, you must choose hiding spots where you CANNOT BE SEEN (hence the hiding part). So as we tease you ever so gently, pleae note that our little glass house is a plastic yarn box and the cloths hamper–2 of teh greatest places to nap ever. So you yoga-on! Catnip and Greenies, Millie and Bailey

  4. Hey-yah! I *just* noticed your Dad sells rubberstamps!Wow! they are awesome, do you do rubberstamping too? I was into stamps before I got ‘into’ knitting.

  5. It’s her special trademark move! (though, maybe she’s limber like that b/c she descends from a line of cat burglars.. .ha ha ha)

  6. One of my cats does something similar except she lays on her back all stretched out like that. She’s done it since she was a kitten 🙂

  7. Hey, it’s a good stretch! She’s just keeping up her limberness for jobs such as pouncing on catnip toys, and tap dancing on Chaos’s head.

  8. What a cutie! From the title, I thought you were going to make a flat cardboard Mayhem to travel around and visit everyone. Sadly, flat cardboard kitties are the only kind I can have…. You should consider it! I can show flat mayhem the golden gate bridge, and all of my sock yarn – she’d love it!

  9. The life of a pampered blog kitty is never easy!

My brother has taken countless pictures of his two cats with his new digital camera. He refers to himself as the kitty paparazzi.

  10. Alas, there can be no privacy when there are blogging pictures needed.

That woman threw a brick through (hopefully) her car window? Wow. I though I was impatient.

    All set for v-a-c-a-t-i-o-n?

  11. Darling Mayhem, my Quincy has a spot underneath a chair where he likes to get away from all the hustle and bustle too. He also feels your pain when it comes to the bothersome humans with the pesky metal boxes.

  12. May’s frog pose there took me a sec, at first I thought it looked like she was on her belly doing leg raises, the kind where you flutter kick in the air, so you can lull yourself into thinking you’re really getting a workout… Oh, and Ardu’s belly looks a BIT like C’s!

  13. Chief just found out about the tummy pics and says you should check his out on our blog.
Bert wants his tummy on the blog too but “Mom” is too lazy to get up and find the camera tonight!

  14. Our Sam likes to do the opposite pose. As soon as it gets warm he spends his days on his back, legs splayed out. Totally destroys his dignified image.
