For true randomness, how about Random Friday?

Peeve has a few pictures up of a baleful Chaos from her visit here. Hee hee – the secret is revealed. Chaos is a crabby kitty. If you aren’t me, really, he’s not sure you have any purpose to your existence. Before that sends anyone into the pits of despair, let’s move right along, shall we?

A few weeks ago, I reconsidered my wallet situation and decided I needed a separate checkbook – I rarely use my checkbook anymore, so why carry a larger wallet just to accomodate it? I picked up this checkbook cover on etsy from bagladiesinpa (kitten sold separately):

“Those black kitties look very saucy. I like them!” -M

Last Friday, Master Enabler Guinifer mentioned finding all sorts of goodies at Woolgirl, so I wandered over there to take a peek… My order arrived on Monday – talk about speedy! I decided to try some Woolarina sock yarn (color Yucatan). Check out the complimentary sheep stitch marker Woolgirl included – it matches her logo.

Mayhem was fascinated by that sheep stitchmarker. In fact, in the picture below it is in her mouth and I am about to drop the camera and leap to its rescue!

“Mwpfh… sheep… mwpfh.” -M

I also got some tape measures (not pictured, because they’re for swaps and contests) and a cat-shaped shawl pin. Um, yes, perhaps I should knit a shawl to wear it on. Moving right along…

“I could crush your puny shawl pin with my fluffy paw of cuteness!” -M

Knit Wit Kelly surprised me with some lovely black cat and mouse stitchmarkers and a book thong! Check out the cute sheep box in which they arrived, too. Thank you, Kelly!

“I am being sneakier than I was with the sheep… hee hee!” -M

Sorry, May, not quite sneaky enough, because I’m onto your little game now…

“I have my eye out for her, Mom! She won’t get past me. Not unless she has tuna, that is.” -C

Have a great weekend, everyone! Jeanne and I will be at the Yarnover market tomorrow morning – say hi if you see us!

  1. Yeah Chris, what’s with the enabling?!?!

I know, it’s the same with Gandalf – anything that isn’t nailed down becomes a potential snack.

Nice haul of stuff, lucky you!

  2. Kitten, you are going to choke yourself on the knitting jewelry and then Big Kitty gets all the tuna and catnip while you are at the vet’s…

  3. You know that once they get a taste for sheep its all over….
I went to WoolGirl the other day and had about $250 worth of stuff in my cart from “just browsing”. That place is dangerous.. I had to dump my cart and run away before the family had to eat yarn for the rest of the month.

  4. Chaos may be grumpy when guests come over, but my Boo thinks everyone that visits is there to see him and he promptly saunters out from his room and generally rubs up on people then lays down on his back and shows them his goodies. My cat does porn.

He may need a lesson from Chaos in subtlety.

  5. Well, I clicked the link, but I think it was probably a bad idea… oh well! I love the shawl pin, and I’m glad May decided not to crush it.

  6. Ooooh how I love all your shopping goodness! I am liking Kelly’s new etsy store, I got’s my eyes on the martini stitch markers…

  7. At least Chaos comes out to say hello – even if it is an indignant one. Jack hides the whole time people are in the house.
Have fun at yarnover – sadly I won’t be there 🙁

  8. A book thong! Fluffy paws of cuteness on a rampage of destruction is hilarious. I will try your famous traditional flourless chocolate cake recipe next time.

  9. Snazzy jewelry! For some odd reason I can totally imagine turq. blue being a really hot color on you. And now for the question of the day… How much jewelry do you own? Because Hoop is under the impression I have too much and I’m under the impression it’s not enough. 🙂

  10. LOL at Chaos! Katie hides and sneaks peaks at visitors. If she gets really brave she dashes behind them on the couch and scares them to death.

Sure, tempt me when I owe all of my spare money to the veterinarians in town.;)

  11. I quit carrying a checkbook a few years ago… I just keep it in my desk drawer for when I need it. Lightens my purse a bit. Yucatan is a yummy colorway, and the book/marker set is very cute. Enjoy Yarnover! : )

  12. I must have Chaos’ long-haired, smaller sister. I thought that I was the only one with a “crabby kitty”. I’ve been waiting for a Cat Whisperer. Millie has taken a chunky “taste” of everyone who has walked through the door. But there’s nothing like being loved so much that Chaos doesn’t want to share (it’s only healthy with cats). Enjoy Yarnover!

  13. Hehehehehe – I am not distressed by Chaos being crabby – he is your cat, not mine! Mine would (eventually) come and say hello and would sniff you muchly.
I don’t need any enabling at present, thanks – I am trying to de-enable! LOL

  14. Dang, missed you at Yarnover! I was busily making polymer clay buttons. There was some yarn that accidentally fell into my bag, too 🙂
