Sony announced a wireless ebook reader yesterday. Gizmodo compares the major wireless ebook readers and has some info about the virtual library ebook checkout that Sony mentioned.
Just when you thought things couldn’t get any crazier than Mr. Darcy, Vampyre… here comes Jane Bites Back.
LOL – if you’re brave and need some laughs, head on over to The Thrillionth Page to read about Miss Doreen’s sordid reading discovery…
How about a random but adorable link to a little black kitty boy?
Reading Update
Blue Fire, ePistols at Dawn, and The Long Way Home by Z.A. Maxfield. ebooks. M/m romance. Blue Fire and ePistols at Dawn were ok. Sadly, The Long Way Home would definitely have benefited from more editorial attention – the basic story was good, but it rambled, wandered, and fell down more than once due to structural issues.
St. Nacho’s and Physical Therapy by Z.A. Maxfield. ebooks. Related m/m romances about the somewhat mystical and strangely healing California town of Santo Ignacio, known as St. Nacho’s. (And hey, there’s a detour to River Falls, Wisconsin!)
Fire on the Mountain by P. D. Singer. ebook. Smokin’ hot m/m about two guys fighting forest fires in the Rockies.
Black Hills by Nora Roberts. I’m pretty sure I’ve mentioned how much I love the Black Hills, so I was particularly interested in the latest from Nora Roberts. Alas, it’s set in the Deadwood area, which isn’t the area of the Black Hills with which I’m familiar. As usual with the Nora, it was well-written and suspenseful until almost the very last page.
Dead and Gone (Sookie Stackhouse, Book 9) by Charlaine Harris. Oh, my, just when you think that Sookie’s life can’t get any more complicated and crazy… another book comes out.
Somebody Killed His Editor (Holmes & Moriarity, Book 1) by Josh Lanyon. ebook. Mystery writer Christopher Holmes is trying to revitalize his career at a writing retreat and things don’t go quite as planned… This was really well-done and poked fun at publishing and crazyily targeted mystery niches. Speaking of Josh Lanyon, Love Romances & More is deep in their m/m focus series and had a great interview with him yesterday.
May appears to have forgiven the toy basket… mostly.
“I’m keeping an eye on this toy basket, and keeping one foot on the floor. Just in case.” -Mayhem
Might be a tough fit, too, but it’s not May, it’s the basket.
Good Morning May, Chaos and Chris:
I hope you are all well. That toy basket is looking excellent to me today. 🙂
Congrats to the winners of Ms. Herron’s book!
Thanks so much for the links Chris!
Have a great day. 🙂
Best
L
Mayhem you are a very brave grrl. Chris…do you knit or is my memory bad?
Oh my…that little black kitty is so adorable! Don’t you just want to wrap him up in the blankie and snuggle with him?!!
I realize that lots of people like Sookie, but I really miss Aurora Teagarden.
Egads, Miss Doreen found quite the book!
Oh Mayhem, back in the saddle again.
I’m very pleased with the fine showing of abs in today’s post, Chris.
Hey! Thanks for the shout out on Miss Doreen! Also, you are on a ZA Maxfield binge. I’ve actually heard really good things about ZA.
Awwwww, cute little kitty. (Not as cute as May, though.)
I won! I won! I won!
This is the second thing I’ve won this month after a lifetime of winning NOTHING. Lol. I should play the lotto too while I’m at it.
May- One foot on the floor seems to be the best bet in these circumstances. Yes, indeed!
The Sookie books are intriguing to me, haven’t read a single one…so I can’t decide if I should read the books or watch True Blood – or both.
The m/m book covers fascinate me in that they NEVER show all four of the moobs!!
This is what I get for not following the series (umm, I’d blame Anita Blake, but I recovered from that a while ago) is you post and I find out that the Charlaine Harris series is on Book 9??? Damn!
I really enjoy your blog and your kitties too – now I have been given a chance to show that appreciation! Stop by my blog and pick up an award, if you’d like. http://sweetvernalzephyr.blogspot.com/2009/08/my-first-award.html
May seems not to trust the toy basket .
Cursingmama – watch the show. It’s better than the books, IMHO. The books are okay, but the show is better.
Good plan, Mayhem.
Did you read Paperback Writer today? Hilarious.
May, I think the SRM is haunting you. Keep an eye on that basket!
Yay, abs!
Cute little black kitty… but not as cute as May of course. Don’t let that basket our of your sights, May.
I’m so glad Sony finally got it together about offering wireless on their ereader, which I never really understood why they didn’t in the first place. After all you would think the makers of Playstation & PSP would realize the value of wireless on anything portable.
Looks like you have some good reads, hope your enjoying them. 🙂
Careful May, it just might move, and there you go again!
isn’t she sweet? so cute.
signed up for the Dreamfever giveaway. Grrr. I need the last book to be released already!!
Yep – definitely have to watch out for those toy baskets…
