  1. That Detroit mansion is a real gem. What beautiful craftsmanship!

The Art Deco house is interesting, but the red accents are weird. What’s with that big X? Crime scene area? Under construction?

Wow, that house with the dome over the pool could be pretty stunning with a lot of $$$ put into it. Shame it was allowed to deteriorate.

  2. Amazing D?e?t?r?o?i?t? Mansion: Alas, woe is I. This is the one that broke me, I finally had to join Tumblr. Sigh.

The sheer effrontery of that place (I can’t repeat the name, even with strikethru text), to abscond with my pretty little cottage. Ah, the many drunken nights my guests and I could spend, refilling our glasses from the Baptismal Vodka Font, or the Horse Trough Of Sacred Scotch, carefully watching the spiral ceiling stay utterly motionless, whilst our heads dance a vigorous Viennese waltz. I’d regale my visitors with the Delightful Romance Of Tristan The Penniless And His Oldie But Goodie Sugar Daddy, depicted in the charming window vignettes. I even like the splat painting, which, considering it is over a toilet, is kind of weird.

I’d like to combine the DC and Carmel houses. Well, more truthfully, I’d like to combine the DC house with the Carmel views.

Naughty Marietta, I do not appreciate huge marble heads gazing down on me as I do my business. And a lot of other stuff you got wrong.

NV “Castle” looks more like a Foreign Legion outpost, and I wonder if they call the basement “The Dungeon” because dungeons are notorious for coffered ceilings?

WTF gets a 4 out of 5 on Leroy’s Mold Rating System:

Yes, now that I’ve signed up with T, you can look forward to my commentary being even more detailed. Lucky you!

  3. Unbeknownst to me, strikethru text is eschewed by WP’s commenting system , but I kinda agree with all the ???s even more.

  4. Oh noooooo. My TBR list just exploded with those funny SFF books. (Good thing I’ve already read several of them.)

I love all the Shadowfax lore! And also, having owned horses… going at a flat out gallop for any amount of time at all is uncomfortable. (I’ve only done it when my horse was spooked and it took a minute to get them back under control.) If I had to full gallop for longer than a few minutes, I’d be falling over and need a month to rest, too, not to mention what it would do to the horse.

I love the alien in the library tiny ficlet! Also I love that the Micro SF/F writer migrated to Tumblr (or maybe was already there even though I found them on Twitter).

That converted schoolhouse is cute, but VERY open. And I think I would be more surprised if you DIDN’T like the purple Victorian. (I like it a lot, too. But 9 bedrooms? Wow.)
