On Mondays, Maryse has started listing three things she feels positively about. I think that’s a great idea and will probably try that randomly – plus it reminds me of the beginning of AmΓΒ©lie. Let’s see if I can come up with some now…
- Pulling tags off of a purchase and having them come off all in a single piece, no sticky goo or corners left behind.
- Chaos knowing where SRM is, because he’ll do the sweetest, most kittenish things. Yesterday evening, he carefully pushed SRM under the bathroom door so I wouldn’t be lonely in the bathroom by myself. And maybe so I would open the door and play fetch, too.
- Making and drinking a perfect cup of soy hot chocolate. (My recipe? Silk Enhanced soymilk, cut with a few splashes of water, three teaspoons of Ghiradelli sweet ground chocolate, and a dash of Ghiradelli unsweetened cocoa.)
“Arrrrr, mateys! I’ve been practicing and I’m all ready for International Talk Like a Pirate Day!” -M*
*Why, yes, I might be messing with you, Deb! π
Awwww…cute Chaos kitten! I love Amelie! It’s one of my all time favorites. And the beginning? By about 50 seconds into that movie I knew I was going to love it. π
I’m with you on #1, although I’d also add the stickies that they insist on plastering fruit with. π
Chaos, aw, that’s so sweet! Gandalf just stands by the door and meows until I come out. Not as cute…
Arrr.. It be the Dread Pirate Mayhem!
That is so cute about Chaos pushing SRM into the bathroom so you won’t be alone. But…couldn’t he push a magazine under there instead? LOL!
My kids (almost 5 and 7) seem to think I get lonely in the bathroom. Pets are very much like kids, or is that kids are very much like pets.
I love anything Ghirardelli. Mmmm….
The boys wave their arms under the door if *gasp* I close it. I’m not sure I’d call that cute, though….
I love Amelie! What a neat idea.
Oh, I just lurv that photo of Chaos!
awww Mayhem I missed your cute little face π
What a cute picture!
You can’t hide in the bathroom at my place! The cat will start scratching at the door which alerts the dogs who think they can head butt the door open! Like children, I can’t wait till they have their nap π
Awwwwwwww! What a honey!
Cats don’t like it when you go to the bathroom by yourself. But probably wouldn’t be happy to share the litter box.
THERE’S a thought!
oh, mayhem looks so much like phoebe in that picture. don’t you just want to cuddle them all the time? π
wish my cats would bring me things. The closest thing they do is leave the tabs from milk cartons in my bed, which they bring to me while i’m sleeping. kinda cute, mostly uncomfortable.
I LOVE Amelie! Even artichokes have hearts…
I also love that sense of satisfaction when pulling off a sticky sticker.
You forgot to add the satisfaction of ripping a UFO into oblivion.
Oh May, you are one scurvy knave!
My father’s birthday is September 19th and he’s so proud that Talk Like a Pirate Day is on his birthday…My birthday is on St. Patrick’s Day – so I commonly point out that people take off work to get drunk on my birthday and they dye things green and have parades.
What a SWEET shot of May! Only I think she’s squinting to avoid the flash again?
And Chaos not wanting you to be alone in the bathroom – teehee!
3 positive things, huh? Have to think on that one…but a great idea…
(((hugs)))
Good idea…………plus, very cute photo of Ms. May
Hmm. maybe that explains why our cat likes to stick his arm (er… paw?) under the door and fish around to see if anyone’s in there. MayMay and Chaos really do look like dopplegangers for my two boys.
my cats just come the hell in.
for everything that i like i can list 5 that i don’t. maybe i need to have a “things i don’t like” tuesday or something.
Obviously, Chaos considers SRM to be part of the family!
AAAARRRGH – he knows I hate “Pirate Speak”. Is that coming up again?
I love #2. It always cracks me up to see a paw or a toy come under a closed door.
Petey on the other hand likes to climb into my lap when I’m in the bathroom. Weird cat.
Arr, me hearty! Ariel acts all motherly when she thinks we’re stressed.
I’ll have to see this movie now! I’ve seen it at the rental place, but always bring another home. I think being thankful/positive just brings more goodness to us. Have you read any of The Pirates! books? I started one (and was shocked by the huge long list of them all in the back). Entertaining, but I couldn’t finish.
Awww, cute Chaos. We just get scratching at the door at our house.
I like the idea of Positive Things Monday.
Silly cute Chaos inviting you to play with his mousie :o) Mayhem has a great look on her face.
And tags that refuse to come off nicely go under the Random Things That Make You Crazy? It does me.
Aww, cute of Chaos! Sheba felt that there should be no closed doors between us. Ever. And would have a fit outside the door if I tried.
Go, girl pirate Mayhem! Scurve of the High Seas and woolen objects.
What a cute picture of Chaos. π
Thanks for that recipe. I just switched to soy milk a month ago — and cocoa is my absolute favorite. Yum!
Amelie is one of my fave movies!
I’m impressed that you get to go to the bathroom alone,
my girls take it in turns coming with me.
Love the expression on May’s face! Cats really don’t like closed doors, do they? How do you heat up the hot chocolate? Dutch oven?
Are you sure that May hadn’t just eaten a lemon? I like the idea of posting positive things. Mind if I do it once in a while, too?
That is a hilarious picture of May.
What a great idea the 3 positive things. I like it very much!
More good cat photos! Yay!
I too like the idea of posting positive things. It helps keep perspective when you have “one of those days.” π
Reminds me of Amelie too. I just watched that the other day! I love it.
