Hi!! This is Mayhem!! Mom said I could do the blog today because she’s all groggy from staying up too late watching 24 and heeling her sock – she muttered something about “that demon television” as she turned on the noisy old espresso maker a few minutes ago.
Anyway!! This is Mayhem, but my mom calls me “May-May”!! My favorite thing is playing fetch. I can play fetch for a very long time, but Mom never wants to play that long. And I’m very cute. I think I’m much cuter than the big kitty. And I’m getting big!! See? I took a picture so you could see! I think it’s very good for being my first picture. Ok, I have to go now. I think Mom’s going to feed us!!! Bye!!!
24 was worth staying up for, don’t you think? Nice job, May-May.
I will not watch 24. I will not eatch 24. I will not….. I have to keep saying it to myself. I don’t need NEW addictions!
Thanks for picking up mom’s slack May! 🙂
I love when you have guest hosts. That really brightened up my day.
Well, she should watch it like normal people do! Ads and all 😉
So, how is Jack? Did Kim meet the cougar yet?
Hi May! Isn’t it cool when Mom let’s us blog?
I like that picture of you, I can see what a gifted photographer you are. Lucky my Mom never got into watching 24, otherwise we would never get fed…
OK, gotta go. Bye!

Hi May Next time mummy lets you take a photo can I suggest you stand a little further from the camera. That way we will get to see your lovely eyes:-)
If I would let my cat blog there would be ranting and profanity. I’m sure of it.
It seems May takes pictures just as well as my 5 year old!
Hi May! Aren’t you a cutie?!?
Staying past your bedtime on a school night?! You are a wild woman
I’m positively dying from the cuteness over here!
Hi May!
Great job with today’s post. My daughter’s nickname is Mayhem! 🙂
Hi May! Loved your post. I can’t let my kitties see it though or they’ll try to take over my blog and there are just too many of them 🙂
My goodness May, you type very well for a kitty. Do you use your paws or your tail? 🙂
Haha – that picture is a riot!
May,
I am so proud of you for doing your first blog entry. Good Job! especially for such a little kitty! But you really shouldn’t give my Terry any ideas!
Haha, you’re in the 24 spiral of shame! You’ll never be able to stop now 😉 What season are you on?
Hi, May —
You’re so lucky! My mom never lets me use the camera. She says I need thumbs. And Harley’s afraid of the camera, so she runs away from it.
The good thing is that Mom is home again with us today. There’s this shiny stuff coating everything I can see out the window. I’d like to go explore it, but Mom says it’s too cold and wet and won’t let me out.
Say hi to Chaos from Harley and me!
Simon
Hi, May! I think I can almost see an eye in the picture.
LOL! Hi May! My what a big eye you have. 🙂 Great post for such a young kitty.
You had to stay up!? It was on a 7:00 in our time zone. May, May….you make me dizzy.
attack your mom’s socks when she’s sleeping with a tenacity unforeseen by catkind
Hubby and I decided we are going to get 24 hours to watch too. Great job Mayhem
Hey May, ask your mom if staying up for 24 was worth it? I was thinking of her as I was suffering from House withdrawals last night. Damn that American Idol! (BTW, don’t say that d-word, ok, it’s a bad word. You didn’t hear it from me.)
Yes May, the television can be quite evil. You should stay away! 😉
Maymay! You’re so cute!
Chris! Kiefer William Frederick Dempsey George Rufus Sutherland! Mmmmm!
May – Get thee to the food bowl, before the bigger Kitty. Drop the camera now!
Great first kitty picture. My cats have not progressed to that stage yet!
HI, May! I think that photo is great…You really ARE getting big. Don’t let them get any ideas about shortening your name, we have our dignity, ya know? How come Chaos didn’t muscle in on the blog entry? Mommie doesn’t let me have the keyboard very often and NEVER let’s me have the camera…I’d like to see what SHE thinks of that light flashing in HER eyes! Oh, and make sure you grab that tearstrip your mom says she has for you…don’t let her hide it! Fetch is great but tearstrips are so much better…
Bye!
Dear May,
What a good kitty for posting for Mom! Might I suggest that you stand a little farther from the camera and not come up to smell it as it is snapping the photo next time. I want you to be a good, nice kitty for Mom today. Try curling up in her lap and purring. No trying to outwit the bungee cords on the closet doors with Chaos. No insisting on playing fetch all evening. Just for today. I know you are a big-girl kitty now, so I trust you want your mom to be happy and relaxed. And yes, the TV is a demon. Aren’t you glad it doesn’t mean much to you? Be nice to Mom, and then maybe she’ll make Chaos model the next set of baby bibs!
Affectionately,
Molecular Knitter
Hi May-May! I like playing fetch too. I wish my Mom was home more often to play with me.
Mayhem.. what a lovely photo – it must be of you playing fetch.
Wanna come over and keep Miss Em company? Fetch is her favorite game too, and she likes (best of all) to drop the ball on our faces around 3 am…
Hi May, this is Abner. Watch out when the humans start mumbling, that’s a bad sign, often it means the coffee maker, or I see in your case espresso maker, will be working overtime. And then they get all hyped up on caffeine, they try to put things on us like shawls and socks and well you know about the bibs.
Oh and a hint on the camera thingy, wait till your mom sets it on the automatic timer then right before it takes the picture, run up to it and paw it, then you’ll get a good picture. It works every time for me. Although mom seems to not like me pawing the camera, I do have awfully big paws.
Alright, I gotta run I think I saw a squirrel playing with my soccer ball, gotta go bark at it to tell it to leave my soccer ball alone.
We are definately cuter than the boy kitties May! And smarter too!
~Gladys
the cutest thing about your nickname? is that in chinese (mandarin) it means “little sister.” How perfect!!
Oh May May, you are so beautiful 🙂
It’s a butt. No. It’s a paw. No. It’s an eyeball!
Talk about an abstract piece. 🙂
Dear May – please tell mom that she needs to hurry up and catch up with the rest of us because Season 6 is everything things it’s cracked up to be and them some!!!
May, tell your mom to screw 24. Tell her to watch Dexter instead.
She won’t be disappointed. Trust me.
Hey May – excellent blogging.
Can you give me any tips on encouraging my kitty to be a fabulous knits model? she wasn’t too keen on it last night. (I did get a nice whisker shot though)
Hi May!!!
Your soooo cute I could eat you!
I wish you would teach Sockies to play fetch, she only seems to enjoy sleeping!
I can tell your going to be a great photographer from your skills already!
Blog again soon!
I spy… an eye. A May Eye. Good job with the camera, May. Keep that big kitty warm, and your mama, too.
Woof!! Woowoowoowoof!!
Oops. Sorry. My instinct just jumped right in there. Hi, May!
–Chappy
Mae, I have a question is that a picture of your nose or your eye? And you’re right, great picture. See if mommy would just play more fetch with you instead of watching that demon television she wouldn’t BE groggy!
Hi, May! That’s a cool photo! Jane doesn’t let me use her camera, darn it. What’d’ja have for dinner? I had some kind of mushy stuff, but it had my vitamins in it and I like them.
Why do you play fetch? Haven’t you taught your mom how to bring the toy to you yet?
Bye!
Ha! The Demon Television will not be ignored! And think, there are so many more season of 24 and then Firefly and MI-5 and Lost…….
May-May you are so cute! But not as cute as Chaos. Maybe when you’re a Big Kitty you will be too [consolingly]. Or if you would pose nicely in bibs.
Nice job May! I hope you’ll guest-blog again. Just don’t play fetch with your mom’s yarn, or she may revoke your privileges!
Yay May! You’re a natural blogger, sweetie!
Hi May! You are a cutie! You Mom is real nice to let you blog for her. My kitties aren’t allowed to use the computer anymore since they figured out how to order catnip an toys off the internet. Be good!
Hello May, this is your Auntie La. You should really bug your mom to come pay me a visit in nice sunny california.
