Here are a few final pictures from that sunny walk, now nearly two weeks ago. Best to post them quickly, since we definitely have more greenery now.
I still can’t decide if this is a sculpture of a propeller in an evil wind storm or petals or… What do you think?
A very happy sun
A seahorse birdbath
A classic fountain with some of the first tulips I’d seen this spring
A much more modern fountain
And a lovely guardian cougar?
“Don’t you think I’d be a better, more fierce guardian than that silly cougar?” -Mayhem
“Mom, you’re so mean. Fierce Guardian Panther Princesses can too sit in the trash and still be fierce!” -Mayhem
Well, you could always keep the spare pictures for next Spring 😉
I do believe that May is using her feminine charms to disarm the bad guys. I feel safer just looking at her sitting in the trash can.
Love the sun but it needs more room to shine! Mayhem, you should get mom to line the can with yarn. Then you’d be fierce.
Mayhem, you are a fierce Princess! And we can never get enough pictures of you.
I’m thinking it’s some kind of freaky sculpture of a wind turbine accident…
My crazy cat was sleeping in the litterbox the other day! I’d rather he sit in the trashcan. 🙂
Odd modern sculpture or a freakishly mangled satellite dish?
BTW, May, I’ve never understood why you want to be such a fierce kitty. Isn’t being a beautiful kitty a big enough job?
😉
May is so gorgeous! One of my husband’s co-workers has two black kittens that he’s trying to find a home for in July. We really can’t afford an additional two mouths (actually the vet bills) that would come with them, but it’s so tempting when I look at your babies.
the modern fountain is cool, but i bet the older fountains say things like “dag nabbit, you hooligan!”
i mean if this was an episode of scooby doo
Chris- I like sculpture, but there is a fine line between art and kitsch.
I’m not sure what the propeller thing is.
Mental note: take my own trash out next time I’m at Chris’ house to avoid scary trash guardian!!
Are all of these beautiful places we’ve been seeing in your neighborhood? What a great area to walk in!
I’m with Jenn. When we upgraded our kitty’s poo palace to a much larger model, it took more than a week before she would use it. We were even keeping the bathroom door closed so she couldn’t use the old one during the day (she held it, which was amazing). The silly kitty was lounging on the litter in her new poo palace like it was a beach along the French Riviera!
I once posted skiing pictures almost a whole year since the actual ski vacation. What the heck…there was snow on the ground, right?
Is that cougar thing a griffin? It’s only power is Ugly.
Jenn, my poor kitty slept in the litter box on a recent, very long car ride. He doesn’t “do” cars, so, he was sedated, and I guess the litter box in his kennel seemed just as good as any other place. My daughters, of course, thought it was hilarious, and took many pictures…
I’m glad that May is there to protect your trash.
I think that I like the “cat in a can” best of all 😉
Clearly there is something of great value hidden in the trash can at your house – May wouldn’t simply sit there for no good reason, she is much smarter than that.
I like the modern fountain – thanks for sharing!
It would be cool if the propeller thing actually generated wind power for that house.
I really like the modern fountain; I bet it sounds neat too.
Bit embarrassed, May, being caught in the trashcan and displayed on the internets?
I really like that seahorse birdbath. It makes me want to get a birdbath. Hmmm….
I love the cheerful sun and the cute kitty faces. That fountain is super!
What a lovely website Chris!
Beautiful pictures and I love your kitty!
I’ll look forward to visiting again!
Warm Regards
L
Beware the Fierce Guardian Cougar Panther Princess guarding the trash with utmost fierceness — step away, step away!
I could use May’s help over here keeping the youngest canine out of the garbage cans….
it would be much more fun to see a May popping out of the trash than an stone just sitting there.
Is Mayhem’s picture the source for the phrase “let the cat out of the (trash) bag?” 😉
First sculpture: nary a clue. Got me. Head scratching. Looks like an airplane after a bad accident.
I think that’s an alien plant ready to eat the building.
Mayhem looks adorably fierce.
LOL at Seanna Lee’s kitty at the beach!
I’m utterly in love with the seahorses. LOVE.
That first one looks a little like a blender attachment.
Sorta looks like a rabbit with giant ears. At least, if it’s not simply abstract.
I’m thinking propeller. Nice photos!
Poor Mayhem. Always misrepresented by her mom in photos.
