Springing slowly

Spring is slowly creeping in to Minneapolis.

I saw a blue heron.

The willows are getting their first pale leaves.

And things are starting to flower.

  1. You must be ahead of us – my azaleas have flowered yet. I think they may not have survived the winter — but we do have a pair of red tailed hawks nesting in our pine tree!

  2. Oh yes I can Chaos! I see a little bit of pink.

Isn’t it wonderful? I love it when the leaves start budding, and the birds are chirping again. 😀

  3. Things are not that far along out here in the suburbs – but on my scenic trip over the weekend, I could see it’s coming!!

  4. those white flowers… that’s actually snow isn’t it, i didn’t think Minny thawed out this early

  5. We are also finally seeing leaves and flowers appear here in Maine. It’s about time!

Silly Chaos, I can see a bit of your tongue 🙂

  6. ITs about time! I just love the blooming bushes, we have some variety down here I noticed blooming this weekend that is so intensely red it looks like it is on fire. I’ll have to try and get a picture to post.

We planted Wisteria plants this weekend. I just love their flowers. since my lilac bush won’t bloom, figured I needed something purple

Oh you rotten kitty sticking your tongue out at us fans of you. Well its okay, I was sticking my tongue out at everyone today too.

  7. Ah, weeping willows. I love them. When I was growing up, our neighbours had one in the corner of their yard and it hung in to our yard. I always thought it an ‘old soul’ kind of tree; it always gave off a grandfatherly feel to me. Does that make sense? I’m kind of stoned on cough syrup. LOL

  8. Yay for spring! I would love to have a weeping willow if my yard was big enough. I love blue herons. Every now and then I’ll see one on my way into the office.

Hah, Chaos I can see your tongue!
