Reading Update
The Wee Free Men (Tiffany Aching #1, Discworld #30) by Sir Terry Pratchett. This was my first Discworld book and it was an quirky, enjoyable read. My plan is to read the four Tiffany Aching books (young adult) as an intro to Discworld and go from there.
Magicians Impossible by Brad Abraham. Ok book about a bartender who discovers at age 30, after his estranged father dies, that he’s a wizard. Sounds like my perfect read, but something about the book kept me emotionally distant from it.
Winter Tide and Deep Roots (The Innsmouth Legacy 1-2) by Ruthanna Emrys. Good historical scifi set in the aftermath of World War 2 a young woman, freshly released from an internment camp, slowly works her way back to her roots. This is set in the world HP Lovecraft created, minus the misogyny and racism.
“It’s really, really, really sad that I am starved so by my mom.” -Chaos
LOL @ punting students across the swamp. 😀 Also LOL at the yarn stash. It’s true, though.
There are some great recipes this week! I may have fallen into a soup recipe wormhole thanks to the Around The World in 30 Soups.
I’m glad you enjoyed the Wee Free Men! I haven’t read that one yet, but am planning to this year. I’m doing my Discworld Read-A-Long, and have planned to start the Tiffany Aching series when I get tired of the adult Discworld books.
Poor starved kitteh. I hope you fed him soon. And often. 😉

A recent post from Nicole..Friday Reads: Welcome March
(Did my comment get eaten? Maybe because I added starving kitteh links. Oops.)
(But this means I can add a comment I forgot — sometimes we all need a reminder that we don’t need to monetize our joy. Thanks. It was good timing on the reminder.)

And lion it is! And a dusting of snow on the ground this morning with single digit lows to come this week. How lovely. UGH! I guess I can’t wait for my project in Houston to start 🙂 May winter end sometime soon for all of us!
Poor, poor Chaos. Mom is so mean.
Love the caffeine bird, but I had to Google it because you have the text linked to the German commuter scarf.
