Reading Update
I know, all the vampire books lately – started out reading one series (the Sookie Stackhouse books), then wondered when the heck the Anita Blake books had gone astray, then people kept recommending stuff… ‘Tis the season, right?!
Undead and Unwed, Undead and Unemployed, Undead and Unappreciated, and Undead and Unreturnable by MaryJanice Davidson. A vampire series that takes place in the Twin Cities! Betsy (Elizabeth) Taylor didn’t want to be the queen of the vampires – she just wanted to own really expensive shoes. We can’t always get what we want… Another fun vampire series – once again, Peeve knows her vampires!
As I mentioned yesterday, Deb of Chappysmom is having a maybe contest – show her pictures of what your November calendar page(s) look(s) like. Here are mine – the first is a knitting calendar that hangs in my kitchen.
The second is the calendar I have at work.
And the third calendar (also in my kitchen) isn’t going to surprise anyone…
Remember this picture? Here’s a new picture of May for size comparison – even I can tell she’s getting bigger!
*sniff* They grow up so fast!
I’m a calendar junkie, I have 3 at my desk here at work, 2 in my kitchen and 2 in my living room.
(Hey, I just noticed we have the same placemat for the kitties food dishes!)
Calendars? What’s that? Would a picture of Benkei’s calendar count? 😛
They’re cute ones though! I love David McEnery, I think his name is, of the catchen picture fame.
May! Sooooo cute! Just add water, she expands!
She’ll be a big cat in no time. Waaaahh.
Wow, she is getting bigger. Soon she’ll be dating. 🙂
I think that I’m at a personal best, both my calendars have already been switched to November. They weren’t switched to October until around the 17th.
The Chinese restaurant didn’t give me one this year. So, no calendar over here!
I’m a calendar junkie too. I love ’em. Dave always gets me a Beatles calendar for Christmas and it hangs in our kitchen. It’s the one present I look forward to the most, coming from him (mostly because the rest of his kind of lack in the ‘good’ department…he has troubles finding decent presents so resorts to dollar store jobbies, usually). I really like the knitting calendar pic — it looks kind of retro.
I read that vampire series this summer – talk about a woman with strange priorities, eh?
Must not get new kitten, must not get new kitten, must not get new kitten…
you’d think that cats would stay kittens longer, for all the trouble they are… I mean, really. I don’t think mine were done being kittens until at least 4 years old.
Those are great calendars! I only have one, in my kitchen, but I think I’ll try get DH to pics of his calendar at work too…
Oh, I like the knitting calendar, and the cat calendars!
May, keep going you’ll be a big kitty soon.
Great knitting calendar! I love the old illustrations. May really is growing up – she is so lucky to have won your heart 🙂
No calendars here, except on the laptop screen — I never seem to know what day it is anyway until I log on 😉
I didn’t know Chaos was a professional model.
I wondered what was wrong yesterday………Bloglines isn’t pickup up my feed for some reason…..
Oh, well. Mayhem is just too cute! And, you’re right, she’s truly getting cat-like big.
Love the calendars! And wow, is May growing. They really DO grow up too fast…
I love the knitting calendar—where did you find it? I have the Pattern a Day calendar, but nothing knitting related on the wall—wouldn’t that be fun!
May is so damn cute!
She is starting to look more mature!
I must be boring, my calender has no pictures, its just one of those big monthly ones with everyone’s schedule on it. Wow May is getting big, watch out Chaos!
Great calendars! Do you know, I’ve seen that knitting one three times today? It holds the record, so far, of duplicates. Which is good, because I think that picture is great.
And wow, BIG kitty!
Shocking surprise that all your calendars aren’t black cats. Or purple. 😉
Oh, Mayhem. I don’t think you’re going to be squishing Chaos anytime soon but you’re so darn cute!
Awwww!! May’s almost a teenager size! And I love that Knitting calendar. Wherever did you find that?
I love your knitting calendar. “Little” Mayhem still has to deal with all that pecking-order stuff. ‘Fraid Chaos won’t give up her top-dog status easily.
Oh, May *is* getting bigger! She’s still awful cute:)
Whoa… I’ve got to check out that TC vampire series sometime. I’ve seen that first one, but didn’t realize the location was special.
Love May’s expression!
Damn that May is a cutie. I don’t now how you stand it!
May has really grown and has that pose down!
Oh oh, those eyes, so emploring…must resist cute kitty stare…must…fight…urge…to…visit…animal shelter! Hey Chris, pop on over to my blog and check out MY cute kitty picture.
P.S. We tried, but unfortunately no one was handing out tuna for trick or treat this year…sorry kitties
