I’ve had “Cubs in Five” by the Mountain Goats stuck in my head for days now… When the San Francisco Giants won the World Series in 2010, I happened to be in San Francisco, staying at a house between Noe Valley and the Castro. Some book blogging friends had been there, but only Kris (from Australia) and I were left on that last night. We were at the lovely oak dining room table, hanging out on our laptops (as bloggers do), when this amazing human ROAR started outside and never really stopped. There were helicopters flying over. And fireworks in the distance… Quote from Kris at that point: “You Yanks are crazy.” Umm.

The only time I have heard anything was when we lost this time at hockey and it is the most embarrassing loss of ALL time. We led 5-1 and lost 6-5 in the last minutes. Then there were nooos from all around

Haha – I laughed hard at Napflix. To be honest a few episodes of 24 have the same effect. I wake up and can pretty much pick up the story straight away.
I love that travel notebook and hollowed book idea. They look neat.

Oops. I missed National Fountain Pen Day.
And Nutella was just recently added to one of the Cheesecake Factory’s cheesecakes. Seems more appropriate there than as a breakfast item.
