Reading Update
Breakaway: The Inside Story of the Pittsburgh Penguins’ Rebirth by Andrew Comte. Good look at the decline and rise of the Pittsburgh Penguins, from 2004 through the beginning of the 2010 season when the new arena opened. I started reading this shortly before GM Ray Shero was fired and finished it the day before Coach Dan Bylsma was fired (although after Shero was fired, I assumed Bylsma would go, too). So I read this from an odd, sort of cynical place…
“…zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz…” -Chaos
Taking his apparently much-needed nap. 🙂
I need to check the moon tonight!
Chris- I like me some kitchen Pr0n- that larder cupboard is amazing.
Have a great weekend.
Oh, I was always a Bridgmanite. Butter Pecan, thanks. And I know someone who is getting a Higgs Bosun mug…
I’m with Chaos today.
The reading as coping mechanism for pain really struck a chord for me and I found the article on how we read interesting as well. I’m proud to say I’ve been to all 10 interesting out-state cities 🙂 Thanks for the Friday slump diversion!
You’re full of great info and fun today. I didn’t know the moon was a once in a lifetime kinda thing. I’m rather fond of the moon.
Chaos is a naptime kinda guy.
My bad fanfic crossover thingy
Your challenge is to write crossover fanfiction combining Muppet Babies and Dungeons & Dragons. The story should use a blizzard as a plot device!
If I had a full jar of Nutella I would make those 2-ingredient brownies NOW! They are gluten-free! I know cuz I checked the google.
I love the literal buildings! There’s a giant arch shaped like an arch here in The Lou. Not much room in it. But enough for a studio and a tiny black dog. Plus, a sleepy chiaroscuro cat? Sweeeet!
Oh god. The Dalek story is killing me!
I read romance novels to escape the pain of divorce, so I completely understand the article about reading as a painkiller. It amuses me that romances don’t have as much appeal now that I’m in a happy marriage.
Love the Tetris notebook!
(And who needs a title?)
