Sorry ’bout that.
Not that you’d know it, but I have actually finished knitting a decent-sized project… too bad I can’t blog about it yet. Hopefully soon. Darn gift knitting anyway.
On Sunday, I started knitting the sock below from Meilenweit Sunset, color 8706. It’s not quite what I thought it would be, but I like it.
So did Chaos.
“Hee hee! She was keeping an eye out for May and didn’t notice me until it was too late!” -Chaos
“Hmph. By the time I arrived, there was nothing to enhance with my snickity-snick teeth.” -Mayhem
Better luck next time, May!
Maybe after my third cup of coffee, that purple won’t look so purple 😉
I love May’s cute little droopy eyes!
The colour’s great! I love it, the purply-orange stripes rock! (I’m on an orange kick of late…)
ooo very pretty socks!!
Oooo, I really like that sock. Chaos better watch out…May looks ready to attack!
Ow. Now I’m bruised.
Pretty socks.
Love the sock. What gorgeous yarn. I’m sure that May and Chaos have had their fair share of victories over you, Mom;-)
Lucky me: I’m on the reclining loveseat with my homework papers all around me. No place to fall, I’m wedged in so tightly! ;o)
The sock is looking very pretty. I wouldn’t have picked it in the ball but it looks good knit up. Yet another reason why yarn companies should always provide photographs of knit swatches on their ball bands…
Very pretty!
How cute! I love the sock and the colors are fab!
I like the orange in there…
Oooh.. purpley stripey goodness!!
Oh–I just love those socks. Yummy purple!
It looks kinda sparkly? Is it??
But May should appreciate the stripiness, yes?
New yarn for me. I really like your colorway, mmm pretty!
You DO still knit! Love those colors.
Beautiful socks. You are the Toe-up Queen!
I love the colors.
With those two cats, I’m quite surprised any knitting gets done, with all the untangling and splicing I’m sure you have to do.
Thump.
Oowww!
I like the purple
Chaos, your black fur looks Mavalous (said in my best Billy Crystal voice) next to those purple socks. Cause you know, I love purple!
I’m glad you warned us with your title. I gathered nice soft stuff around the chair before I read the post.
Chris- How big are we talking? Bigger than a breadbox?
Oooh, I like the purple stripes. Chaos looks good with purple.
Those colors are lovely.
I didn’t even fall off my chair.
Poor May. She never gets to have any fun.
And ah ha!!!! The real reason you’re so stuck on the vampire mysteries. Chris has got a crush…..Chris has got a crush…. 😉
That’s OK, May — I see stripey socks in your very near future. And we know how you like stripey socks. ^_^
I love how the yarn’s knitting up! Before I even read the name, I thought of a desert sunset.
Well it’s a good thing you warned us or there could have been some serious injuries. 😉
I like the sock yarn! Looks like Chaos was quick on the paw.
That leg shot is hilarious!
Very nice colours. Good thing you warned me in the head line, or I might have chocked on my tea! 😉
Nice sock! Kind of stripey too. Poor May! Late for the photoshoot. She looks quite put out.
It’s just the toe up part that makes me nervous! Nice stripes.
Love the color.
I really think they want you to knit them socks! They want to match Mom!
Are you sure they weren’t tag-teaming you? May providing the distraction while Chaos swooped in for the grab?
Ooh, pretty sock!
I love that yarn! I don’t like it in the skein, but I love it knitted up.
I’m LOVING that yarn’s colorway – can’t wait to see the pair!!!
