The Tequila Sunrise Socks are done! First a cat-free picture, for those of you who actually want to see the knitting.
While it is a bit of a pain to separate the two strands of yarn in the Knit Picks Sock Blanks (the blanks are knit double-stranded), you sure do get nice matchy-matchy.
“I thought there would be treats.” -Chaos
“Alas, my toys don’t match these socks as well as I thought they would.” -Mayhem
“Nope. Those aren’t treats. Sigh.” -Chaos
“I don’t know how Mom can call these socks matchy-matchy. Sigh.” -Mayhem
Wow, those look fantastic! I just got some sock blanks for Christmas, and now I”m really excited to use them.
Very pretty!
The socks look great! That was pretty clever to knit it double stranded.
I want to know how you got that first picture with not kitties; did you lock them up somewhere?
p.s. The socks look great!
Great socks, and those colors are just perfect for these cold, gray days. Or warm(er), sunny days, too!
Beautiful cheerful socks. How exactly did you get a picture without the helpers?
Way to brighten a dreary morning!
Oh, they are matchy-match! I love them!
That first catless photo was one out of about 50 pictures trying to get one without them in it.. right? Or is it a clever cropping job? Also.. I approve of the matchy-matchy.
Perfect socks, and perfect way to cheer up our morning! Thank you!
Why would you think we’d want to see the actual knitting? 🙂
Very cool socks. And I love that they match. I’m okay with handpaints that don’t match, but stripey socks have to match for me.
What a great bright spot of color! Oh, cats… always thinking with their tummies.
Your socks–“tequila sunrise”–but I’m interested in the title that includes “tequila sunset”–is that what will happen when you are wearing the socks?
They do look delicious.
Gah! I hate trying to separate strands when unravelling. Probably why we had nine people here over the Christmas holidays unknotting CajunGuy’s alpaca. I find it so stressful.
Maybe some of the stress comes from the fact that at the time of the unravelling I’m already upset that I screwed up something… there’s a thought.
I love the socks! Poor Chaos, I’m sure there are treats to be had elsewhere.
They look great!
Those are very cheerful socks!
i saw this post title and thought, “oh sweet little baby jesus who can barely talk, please don’t let this post be about tia tequila”
Chris- I like the result, but I’m still not sure about the whole process of the sock blanks.
You’ve had subliminal pink influences.
I do like those colors.
A cat-free photo? For shame 😉
You know how I feel about those socks.
Those are so pretty!
I just gotta say that I love your cats and love that you put captions for all of them.
They’re real knockouts! I suppose Flat Feet might be easier to knit with, since it’s not double-stranded like KP, I think?
I love the socks! I can’t believe the kitties are so grumpy around such cheerful socks–they’re even striped! Perhaps you need to wash them and leave them wet in the sink; then May would think they are great.
I think the kitty toys coordinate with the socks quite well!
They look pretty matchy matchy to me. And now I’m thinking tonight would be a good night to go home, mix a fruity sunshiny cocktail, turn the heat WAY up, put on some shorts & read a trashy book!
Great socks! I need to pull out of some of my bright sock yarn (umm, after I finish the pair on the needles and being ignored) and knit some super cheery socks! An anodyne to winter.
what gorgeous tangerine-berry colors! or feathery-toy & mousie colors…hm. love!
That is very matchy-matchy! And they go nicely w/her toys.
Gorgeous!! I might be tempted to hang them on the wall when I wasn’t wearing them!
Those should keep your tootsies nice and warm just with the color! I like ’em.
Awesome socks. Do you do calf increases or is it an optical illusion??
Nothing like a spot of color to bring some wartmth to the dreary winter.
I think the bits of matching kitty toy ON the socks are the best… Oh, and the jiffy pop fire detector!
More the intensity of the hue – otherwise I’d say the colors are pretty close.
Hmm. More familiar looking mice. 😉
The socks look great!
love the socks
Cute socks and cats! How did you like the Knit Picks yarn?
oooo, what beautiful socks! Shame they don’t match May’s toys better though 😉
Oh I like them! They’re perfect for those dreary winter days.
I don’t know. May’s toys are pretty close. They coordinate well at least.
My eyes hurt!
You know what would make those socks even better? If they came with a little drink umbrella. 🙂
They look great. Just the thing for winter!
Wow! I’ve been wondering how those sock blanks would turn out and they are awesome! I can only think that the kitties thought they were so awesome they had to bring them offerings 🙂
I love the colors! It’s a sad moment when a cat discovers there are no treats.
those socks are fabulous.
and will keep your spirits cheery during the bleak snowy days 🙂
Wow, love those socks!
I’m impressed, they are nearly identical! I can never accomplish that, no matter how hard I try.
