Congrats to Dianna, who won Mayon by Mickie B. Ashling! Mayon will be released by Dreamspinner Press on November 19.
May’s not as lively now that the anesthetic and analgesic have worn off, but I really can’t blame her for that. Still getting food into her at least – she had some turkey baby food for dinner last night (better than nothing, right?!). Having trouble believing tomorrow’s my birthday after this rough, rough week, y’know? On the plus side, it doesn’t look like any of my numerous cat bites have gotten infected. Maybe I should stop joking about Chaos being a house panther… (For the morbidly curious, here’s what my left ankle and right calf looked like on Tuesday.)

Reading Update
Heart in Hand by Salifiable. free online. reread. The hockey rpf that started it all. Very good m/m romance about two hockey players on rival teams who become friends – and more – through an unusual turn of events. I got sniffly more than once while I was reading this one. Also while rereading.
Plus lots of other hockey rpfs.
*thlurp* -Mayhem, as she cleaned her luxuriantly furred tummy on my lap last week before all the drama…
I WANT that TARDIS fridge! Now!
The whole situation with Silver is really troublesome.
I hope you and your cats are better. *hugs*
First, just wanted to say Happy Birthday for tomorrow!
Second, ouch on the bites
And thirdly, its a karma day – I had literally just spent an hour this morning trying to find Heart in Hand (couldn’t remember its name just the orig guys first names) and had given up, and there you were to tell me! So thanks, see I should have checked my regular haunts first!
♫ Happy Birthday to you ♫ for tomorrow. 🙂
Anyway, no matter what kind of a day you have tomorrow it’s going to be one hundred times better than last Saturday! LOL
oooh, early Happy Birthday! The links as usual are great, and while my week was nowhere near as rough as yours, they are quite welcome. Good weekend to you and the furry little black ones.

I really, really hope that Silver Publishing stuff is fixed 🙁
*Worries about friends having books out soon*
Short but interesting linkity
HAPPY BIRTHDAY (tomorrow)
Poor kitty, poor Chris. Hope May continues to improve and you heal quickly. Enjoy your birthday! You’ve had a rough week and deserve a little TLC! I’d drop for a b-day toast if I could! clink

I just finished a bunch of cowboy books & am on to contractors..hockey players can’t be too far behind. Did you try any of the recipes you’ve shared??? the gingerbread cake & pumpkin bars are pretty tempting?

My head exploded over the Hello Kitty/Turkey.
Glad you haven’t had any infection problems. Hope May is doing better.
And HAPPY BIRTHDAY.

Poor Mayhem. Her mouth wound is going to take time to heal. I’m glad that she’s willing to eat baby food. I’m curious but too squeamish to check out your cat bites.
Wishing you a Wonderful and Happy Birthday!! And a peaceful weekend too.
Very happy birthday for tomorrow
Hopefully you will have a peaceful and much less adventurous weekend than the last one!
Fingers crossed that May (and you!) continue to recover
A recent post from Kate..So, this is it….is it?
I want a Hobbit dollhouse.
Happy Birthday! Best wishes for a wonderful and calamity free year!
Glad you are healing and infection free and that May is on the mend. Saliva has growth factors in it to help wounds heal faster (keeps one from starving to death), so hopefully she will be fine soon.

The TARDIS refrigerator is AWESOME! I soooo want one! The SP problems sadden me and I can’t imagine not paying authors for the product they created. Ack!!! Makes me not want to buy from them, not that I do really anyway.
Wishing you a Happy Early Birthday and watch out for kamikaze kitties!

Happy Birthday for tomorrow!
I’m glad none of your bites are infected and hope both you and May keep improving!
Thank you for the linkity!
Still on the hockey rpf I see. I need to find some more Sterek…I’m dying for one story to be finished and it’s been almost 3 weeks since the last update *sob sob*

Happy birthday tomorrow! I recommend spreading the observance out over a few days, especially if the actual day ends up being underwhelming. (Funny about the Safeway cakes…I remember some Bay Area baker saying that he got his start in a grocery store bakery, but they fired him because he insisted on using brand-name ingredients, which drove down the profits…)
Is November 17 your birthday? Mine too! Happy double happy birthday, oh book blog master. May you and your black cats thrive, heal, and prosper.
Of course, we Scorpios celebrate the entire month. But we expect gifts on the actual day.
Happy Birthday Chris!
Happy Birthday! Hope you had a wonderful day and it was really great to make up for last week.
I was a little bemused by the baby carrots link. I generally pick mine small and think of them as babies!

Happy (late) birthday. I hope all of you feel better soon.
LOL, why am I not surprised that humans are just getting dumber as we “evolve”?!!
May! I hope she’s getting better. :/

Loved the BVS limericks and the Neil deGrasse Tyson quotes and of course, the Oatmeal!

I find that the Betty Crocker recipe* for pumpkin pie filling for a 9″ pie NEVER fits into my 9″ pie pan. This year I doubled the recipe, made two 9″ pies, and baked the excess filling — sans crust — in another shallow dish. Voila, my own gluten free pumpkin *pie*!
* This is the best recipe EVEH! for pumpkin pie filling. My family agrees.
Happy belated birthday! I hope all is improving at your house.
