Red tuna at night

A big thank you to Just a Knit Wit (aka Kelly), who sent Chaos and I a sweet care package. Great timing – it arrived during a totally crazed day at work on Friday and cheered me up immediately.

It included a lovely skein of Kureyon, some mini Tootsie Pops (used to calm my equally crabby coworkers!), a tin of Knitting Girl mints, a Hershey’s pencil, red and grey mini-tuna toys for Chaos (clever!), a mysterious tin…*

and a great cd of Celtic music to listen to while knitting!

The tin contained a stunning black cat bookmark and two very fun bracelets, one of which has a little sheep and says “I Luv 2 Knit.”

Thanks, Kelly! Oh, and I think that Chaos likes the tiny red tuna (TRT):

“Yeeeeeee-ha!”

  1. Great care package – do those ‘tuna’ have catnip in them? Chaos’ pose suggests they do! Tomorrow is the start day for the Amazing Lace?

Sally says red and pink toys bring out the hunting instinct in cats ;o)

  2. Wow, what a great action shot! He really does love the TRT. (Which he should, it’s so cute!)

That’s a fantastic package. Beautiful (and yummy!) goodies.

  3. From the look on Chaos’ face, that tuna must be stuffed with catnip.
I like the “mysterious” tin. It would be a good place to store stitch markers!

  4. How cool! I often find that packages of goodies come when I need to be cheered up.. its a wonderful thing. Chaos looks super happy with those knitted tunas.

  5. What a lovely package!

All of these toys are going to go to Chaos’ head. He’s going to have to get more and more cunning when losing them – but on the upside, when he’s lost enough of them, it’ll be a form of cheap insulation!

  6. Isn’t Kelly a great gifter? Chaos looks really happy with TRT, maybe Kelly will make me some for Socks for Sheep if I ask her nicely? 🙂
