Last chance to participate in my 6-month blogiversary contest – follow the link before 6 pm CDT today (May 22) and leave a caption comment to play. I can’t believe I’ve already been blogging for six months – my, how time flies. To everyone who stops by to visit Chaos and I, and to everyone whose blogs I visit – you have all enriched my life immeasurably! Thank you.
The Knit Wit has been writing a ghost story about me, but things aren’t looking so good at the end of Part 2… If I suddenly stop posting, it’s her fault for finishing me off in the graveyard!
Jane posted about a nifty blogging event happening on Wednesday, June 7 – A Day in the Life, inspired by the book This Day in the Life: Diaries from Women Across America.
In addition to the Lace from the Black Lagoon socks I’m working on (in the homestretch – doing the cuff on the second sock!), I’m also working on a pair of plain socks from Meilenweit Cotton. Inspired by JennyRaye, these will be biking socks for me. I had two singleton balls of this yarn, so I’m doing toes, gussets, and cuffs from one color and foot and heel from the other color. There’s a bit of green in them, so they’re nominally Project Spectrum, too. (Please note that the red blobule you will see in the following pictures is simply a red fur ball, not SRM!)
ha, ha… love that Chaos is trying to eat your socks and then floss its teeth with the needles (my cat does it with the yarn!)
So how does this Day in the Life thing work? Do you know? And are you going to participate?
Eeew, I can’t stand the feeling when you bite on metal. Give the cat some nice bamboo, rosewood or ebony!
Beautiful socks and Chaos likes them too.
I can’t believe you’ve only been blogging for 6 months, your post are so much fun to read. Happy 6 month anniversary. Love the ghost story about you. The socks look great.
I love the subtle color in the socks. The not-so-subtle tuna eater? I love him, too. Has anyone started a fan club for him yet?
Happy blogiversary! It’s nice of Chaos to celebrate with tuna. I’m sure he shared. And it’s nice of you to ensure his teeth stay clean. I think addis knit faster with little cat teeth dents in them.
Those socks look gorgeous! It looks like Chaos thinks so too. 🙂
Thanks for the link to Day in the Life, and Happy 6 month blogversary!
Awwwwww…Happy Six Months Blogging!!
Hmmm your 6 month blog anniversary is the same day as Sydney’s and I 12 wedding anniversary. Yes, she’s put up with me for 12 years (13 together).
Syd should get the prize of the yarn if I win the drawing. LOL. I know now she can never have enough yarn, much less needles, and those other thingys you guys use.
We’re off to a nice dinner tonight then tommorow we get to do a major paid magic show. Make sure you post her in comments she’s a great ‘box jumper’. That’s an inside magic term for an assistant.
If you’ve never seen us perform, go to http://www.putfile.com/yourmagicman and take a look.
Opps, the above was from Rick, Sydney’s man-thing, that hangs around the house, annoys her, and is there to lift heavy stuff and get stuff off the top shelf.
No Chaos…not the Addi’s!!!
The Day in the life does look like it will be interesting reading!
Hehe — Chaos is thinking – ‘Well, if you DON’T use these to pick your teeth, then you won’t mind if I do, it’s not like you’ll be getting any of my germs then!’
No Chaos, just some of that stuck tuna in her next sock!
Another knitting question – How do you make the socks stay up? Do they have elastic in the yarn?
ahhh those claws look painful in your foot! He’s got some daggers on him!
Thanks for the heads up about the Day in the Life event. That’s going to be fun!
Happy 6 month Blogiversary, and thanks for the “A Day in the Life” link. Now all I have to do is remember it.
(Yes that’s my husband running amok in the comments above.:) )
Happy 6 month! The blogging world is lucky to have you and Chaos among the flock.
Yep, we definitely need a Chaos fan club. The Chaos Collective?
Happy 6 months anniversary! Blogland is a brighter place with you in it.
Ouch – retract those claws!
Chaos looks like he’s ready to finish those socks FOR you…
Pick up the Needle Chaos GOGOGO…
Happy Blogversary to You, m’lady…
beautiful socks! one of my kitties likes the addis too, esp. the wire.
by the by, lovely tribute to your g’ma!
Thank you Chris! I would like to thank the academy and the international foreign press… ha ha. my email address is hpresson at comcast dot net. Cute kitty pictures.
Now Chaos, let mom finish the socks before you snag them!
My little ones are always trying to take my knitting away too. I try to keep everything up high, but I’ll bet Chaos is a better climber.
