I can’t believe I missed the obvious caption yesterday about Chaos having his foot in his mouth (which he did)… Obviously, it’s been a long week and my captioning brain is not up to snuff. And, since I won another contest yesterday (a drawing for a $15 gift card to a LYS from everyone who sent cage liners or squares to Chris of Chris Knits for her local Humane Society) (ok, ok, technically Chaos won, but he doesn’t get out much), I’m feeling the urge to spread a little contest fun myself.
The prize will be a 480-yard ball of Brooklyn Handspun superwash sock yarn, color Carnival. This colorway will cover all of your Project Spectrum knitting needs up until August (neutrals). (Tail not not included.) If a non-knitter wins, I’ll send that person something other than yarn and select a second winner.
The contest is to leave a comment with a caption for the picture below. Caption comments made before 6 pm Central Daylight Time on Monday, May 22 (my six-month blogiversary!), will be numbered and I’ll use a random number generator to pick a caption. Please note that the mouse in the picture isn’t SRM, but is the wonderful catnip mouse that Elizagrrl knit for Chaos.Have fun! Be creative!
*mouse* Oh my, what big claws you have! What big eyes! What a big…. tongue?!
Happy 6-Months! : )
Hey Chris! Let me catch up: 1) thanks for the encouragement re: the dead garden. I completely took last summer off from weeding …. so I have my work cut out for me this summer. But I’ve decided it’s the “Summer of the Garden”, or it will maybe be so … 🙂 2) Brooks Fiber Farm? You’re a better woman than me to be able to part with it! … my entry: “Mmmm … a fresh aroma, a pleasing bouquet … smells of blackcurrants and figs … and a robust, crisp flavor … I think it’s wool, vintage 2006.”
Mmmm…tastes like chicken!
I’m seeing double mousey trouble, in the catnip in your eyes.. err ears…
Chaos is so musically inclined, after all ;o) Happy 6mo.blogiversary! You’ve come a long way! :o)
If… I… hold my tongue… just so… I can balance this poor excuse for an SRM on my… paw
“How many licks does it take to get to the center of a catnip mouse?”
“That Jack Horner kid ain’t got nothing on me.”
Honestly that is the first thing I thought of when I saw the pic. Though I imagine Chaos would never sling slang 😉 **CV
Both: One, two, three, four, I declair a thumb war!
Mouse-claw-bobs! My favorite!
I’ve got wool stuck between my teeth.
Here at Chez Chaos, we cleanse our palette with Plain Red Mouse (PRM) before the main course of Sparkly du Jour.
The suspect is a cat, black, green eyes, approximately 12-14″ in height. Seen here in a surveillance video from the scene of the incident.
The victim is in treatment after his traumatic experience, and is expected to make a full recovery. The family could not be reached for comment.
“mmmmm, when you eat your mousies, do you eat the red ones last”?
or- ” Weight-watchers says they’re delicious, nutritious and fiber-rich”
Too corny?
Hmm, tasty, but where are the sparkly sprinkles?
Ew. I bit into that expecting mouse but all I got was sheep.
“I know this was meant to be felted. I’ll just help it along. Add one part cat saliva with two parts agitation by cat tongue… Voila! felted red mouse!”
“Hmm… This mousie has undertones of sheep and goat with a hint of cherry.”
Happy six month blog anniversary!
‘did you check the expiry date on this mouse?’
Happy 6 months!
Fibery, mousy goodness. Yum!
Mmm . . . not as sparkly a vintage as SRM, but it has a lovely full catnip flavor, with a hint of fuziness. And a truly nose licking aroma.
Hmmm…tastes like chicken.
“Why is that server taking so long to get here with my milk? I’m going to have to start eating without it.”
Red Mouse – it gives you wings!
Congrats on you anniversary! 🙂
Be carfeul not to swallow that felted mouse Choas, you might end up having mittens.
Happy Blog-aversary!
Look, my tongue is getting red from all that artificial dye they use now days. OMG am I gonna get some disease from all this artificial gunk they put in my food.
tastes like wet alpaca!

Mmmmmm. Just like fries and ketchup – mouse and catnip!

Oooh, a rouge fur ball. Is that what happened to SRM? Poor SRM.
“I’m not addicted. I can stop anytime I want. … I’m just choosing not to stop now.”
catnip = wonderous.
“Oh, I hate it when I bite my tongue. Stop laughing, stupid mouse!!”

I do wish she’d peel these things — I just got fuzz up my nose.
I’m not good on captions but Happy Blogiversary!!
“Ewww, I think I got a lint ball up my nose again! Mommmmmyyyyyyyy!”
Have you noticed how rough and raspy cat toungues are? During allergy season it is so convenient. Itchy nose from pollen? Hah!
Mmmmm…mousy-pop. Nice and rare…..slurp!
(cue the music pleaes) “…..If you can’t be, with the one you love, honey, love the one you’re with……love the one you’re with, love the one you’re with…..doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo”
“My nose does not smell like Teen Spirit you stupid mouse!”
Mm, Cherry flavored mouse, my favorite!
PS. Your kitty looks just like my Liberace and seems to be almost as mischievous! hehe.
Last one, I promise!
“But Mooooooom, the vet said I needed more fiber in my diet. This tiny little mouse isn’t enough. Better let me into the stash closet.” *licks lips*
