Guess I’ll add Excelsior to my list of places to avoid until they get that nasty spider infestation under control… (Get out while you can, Deb!) (Really, I had no idea it was going to turn into Spider Week here at SoC.)
Anyone want to bet that they have very few parking violations? Or even museum guests?! 😉
“On second thought, those giant spiders look more like something the big kitty would enjoy. I’ll just hide under the covers until they’re done with him and go away… I mean, until he’s got them under control.” -Mayhem
Rebecca is having surgery today. Please keep her in your thoughts and send her lots of healing vibes! Thanks.
I come back from a week away and I’ll I get is kitty butt!!?
You have to admit though, that’s some pretty good decorating!
What/where is Mayhem trying to squeeze into?
There is a GIANT garbage bag spider hanging from the ceiling of Oliver’s preschool. The legs drape over the entire classroom – it’s really cool.
Wouldn’t find me parking anywhere near THOSE spiders. *shudders*
Chris- Well, I figure if Kitten-Chow can take on a dog, what’s a giant spider? We have a black and orange one in the living room.
Tell Chaos that chivalry is not dead, and go and defend your honor.
What were you doing in Excelsior? Besides taking photos? Were you yarn shopping?
OK, Excelsior always makes me think of Monica Ferris’ books.
I couldn’t get my doggies to get rid of a huge spider at the door either.
where is the cat? climbing into grimace’s belly folds?
For the curious, May is crawling under the covers (purple jersey sheets) and I am holding the covers up to help her (and get a picture, of course).
With our “first person to see the spider has to dispatch it rule” here at house of kitkatknit, the humans usually squish them before we get to play with them.

Back cracker?? Was that over by the museum and 318 and “the other place”? What the hell – I’m leaving town just in case they get loose!!
I didn’t realize that Excelsior was a real town! I just knew it’s where the Monica Ferris books took place.
Those spiders are creepy! Creepy!
Hopefully today is the last time Rebecca will need surgery.
There are a lot of spider lovers around you! They are creepy. May has the right idea.
I hope all goes well for Rebecca.
OMG, that is just like the giant spiders in Harry Potter! Scary!
Great, now I have to worry about acromatulas as well as zombies and UFOs?
Oh, ugh! I’d avoid those spiders like the plague. I really do hope Chaos can get them under control.
Yes, healing thoughts and prayers for Rebecca. She has been through so much!
Yikes, MORE of them! Wow. I don’t blame May at all for leaving this batch for Chaos…
I’m joining May – she knows where it is safest.
I’ll be in hiding with Mayhem.
I had no idea there were so many spider lovers in the Twin Cities. I think I’d be hiding under the bed too.
Mayhem has the right idea. Hide till the spiders go away. I’m going to hide and play wiht my new spinning wheel! (had to put that in there. I am so excited!)
