The Monday after Daylight Savings Time starts (aka today) is always sort of brutal for me (and for plenty of others, I’m sure). So I’m a bit bleary and crabby this morning – bleary enough that I forgot to put chocolate in my desperately needed mocha. Blech. Don’t mind me.
What I didn’t expect from Saturday’s Stash Flash: that seeing my stash would make so many of you happy to discover that you didn’t have stashing issues in comparison. Hmph. However, I must now send you to see Dawn’s mind boggling stash, which cheered me up immensely. Here’s her office stash and her home stash (she has sofa and suitcase stashes!). I’ll wait. Back? See? I have a very reasonable stash. Moving right along…
For those wondering how one breaks a windshield while changing wiper blades: I had finally wrestled the old wiper blade off and the “naked” wiper arm slipped out of my hand and smacked into the base of the windshield. That’s it. Instant spiderweb.
A week or two ago, I added some of the lovely Sundara sock yarn to my stash. The color is Black Lagoon and the pictures below don’t really do it justice – the color depth and intensity are better than a lot of the Koigu I’ve seen recently!
I LOVE that yarn. Beautiful!!
Love the Sundara yarn. I need to check into some.
I’vev never heard of Sundara – it’s very pretty!
You can always find someone with a bigger or smaller stash than your own, so I say forget everyone else and just enjoy your own stashiness!
I have to say stashed like yours and those you linked to are why I didn’t bother. People would yawn and move on, LOL!
Your new stash acquisition is gorgeous though! Yummy, yummy colors!
As for DST, I think my body prepared for it early. I was waking up earlier and earlier the past two weeks. I’m still getting up early in the new time space we have! It is still kind of a shock though. All day yesterday I kept thinking, wow, it’s only 2pm? It seems like it should be later, which is highly odd given that 2pm used to be 1pm!
As if DST isn’t bad enough, we didn’t get home from the Final Four last night until 12:30. That combination makes for a crappy (and slow moving) Monday morning.
Mmm, more pretty yarn. I love the colors!
The Sundara yarn is definitely a great addition to your stash!
Oooh, the yarn is so pretty! So, what are your plans for it?
I hadn’t seen Sundara before – thanks for the link! I’m pretty out of it this morning too…
damn you, enabler!
lucky for me, she’s mostly sold out… so i have a tiny chance to control myself. 😉
ohhhhh yumdiddlyumshious! Def an interesting colourway!
So Chaos is a yarn sniffer? I’m more of a yarn cuddler/kisser.
Now don’t feel bad about the stash. It’s a thing of beauty and you should be proud of it.
br would literally kill me if i had that much yarn. literally.
i have like… a BAG full and i don’t know what to do with it.
:S
I had never seen Sundara yarn. I like those colors. As for Daylight Saving Time, I hate it. I’ll be worthless for a week or two.
I have never heard of someone breaking a windshield by replacing the wiper. So… You should feel special. I guess. Ok, not really. But, I tried.
🙂
I feel yah on that “Morning After” Syndromw. Eck, is it 5pm yet?
I’ve had a week to recover from the time change and I think my body is almost there. The Sundara is gorgeous. Maybe Chaos thinks he might get to play with the yarn now since he got to go in the wardrobe he’s not normally allowed in 🙂
That yarn is really gorgeous!
Ooh, pretty yarn!
Heh – a bag of yarn tied closed with .. YARN! Chaos must think he is dreaming ;o)
Our little atomic clock told us about DST on Saturday night? We didn’t quite believe it — but eventually it was true ;o) So, no more staying up till 4 am.. have to try for 1 or 2 from now on!
I hate spring forward… I’d much rather Fall back! your new sock yarn is oh so pretty, and looks like chaos would like to give it a little taste test.
I like the yarn Chaos is inspecting for you.
I just couldn’t bear to flash my stash this year. It was too overwhelming, but not quite as good as
http://goddess1.typepad.com/i_hide_yarn/
and I could never live up to the standard for cool set here

I covet Sundara yarn, but I’m on a serious yarn diet. Maybe for my birthday, I’ll splurge.
That is some beautiful yarn!
Hi Chaos!
Chris, the only reason my stash is so small (no, I didn’t post it) is because I’ve known for over a year that I’m moving.
My hatred of moving outweighs my love of textiles, just barely, but still.
That Koigu is yummy.
That yarn is too pretty to be used for just socks. Can you use it for other things too?
Also I was impressed by how neatly organized your yarn stash is, and amazed that you fit it all into your place. You must be a very creative organizer/storage space finder.
Wait…. where IS the cat? 😉
No chocolate in your mocha?? **comforts you**
that sundara is gorgeous! I’ve resisted so far . . . I’d buy some, but I’m afraid my stash is starting to look like Dawn’s.
Oh, that Koigu is yum. my.
I see why it needs to be kept in a sealed bag…
Chris, your true nature, that of the yarn stash enabler is revealed. “Say slowly after me, S-u-n-d-a-r-a, must have some.”
I definitely have been feeling the effects of DST too this year and I’m not a happy camper. Hopefully I’ll be up to speed after this weekend. Your Sundara sock yarn is gorgeous. Maybe one day I’ll get to pick some up.
