In which there’s no linkity, but there IS a photo of cats staring you down

I’m not quite finished reading these, but I’ll finish this weekend. I highly recommend both:

Me and White Supremacy: Combat Racism, Change the World, and Become a Good AncestorMe and White Supremacy: Combat Racism, Change the World, and Become a Good Ancestor by Layla F. Saad.
White Fragility: Why It's So Hard for White People to Talk About RacismWhite Fragility: Why It’s So Hard for White People to Talk About Racism by Robin DiAngelo.

I also highly recommend Library Extension, which shows you whether your library has books you search for on Goodreads or Amazon, and, if your library owns the books, how many copies in which formats and whether they’re checked out or not.

Print Workshop: Hand-Printing Techniques and Truly Original ProjectsPrint Workshop: Hand-Printing Techniques and Truly Original Projects by Christine Schmidt. Interesting and wide-ranging projects, from using linoleum blocks to screenprinting to cyanotypes. Unfortunately, the book is a decade old, and some of the specialized materials don’t seem to be available anymore.

Cartwheel in the Quiet: A Tapestry of Things Found + FeltCartwheel in the Quiet: A Tapestry of Things Found + Felt by Emily Looman. Lovely little snippet of the author/artist’s life – a path to healing told in art and scribbled words.

Terra Incognita: Three NovellasTerra Incognita: Three Novellas by Connie Willis. I’d read these before in different collections, but I didn’t remember/realize that until partway through each story and I enjoyed reading them again, so!
Funny, You Don't Look Autistic: A Comedian's Guide to Life on the SpectrumFunny, You Don’t Look Autistic: A Comedian’s Guide to Life on the Spectrum by Michael McCreary. DNF – humor is one of those subjective things and this grated. My autistic experience is so different from his, I can’t even…
A Field Guide to Now: Notes on Mindfulness and Life in the Present TenseField Guide to Now: Notes On Mindfulness And Life In The Present Tense by Christina Rosalie. DNF – I love the title, but this was another one I absolutely could not relate to.

Impostors (Impostors, #1)Imposters and Shatter City (Impostors #2)Shatter City (Imposters 1-2) by Scott Westerfeld. Intense first-person POV young adult scifi about an identical twin whose existence is kept secret so she can serve as her famous sister’s body double. Compulsively readable, but cliffie. ARGH. The sequel to Imposters is a little bit less of a cliffhanger, but still… Also, the next two books in the series haven’t been released yet, so it will be a while on that cliffie.

Color Lab for Mixed-Media Artists: 52 Exercises for Exploring Color Concepts through Paint, Collage, Paper, and MoreColor Lab for Mixed Media Artists: 52 Exercises Exploring Color Concepts through Paint, Collage, Paper, and More by Deborah Forman. Lots of interesting exercises in this, some of which I’ll actually even try at some point. But with just two pages devoted to each exercise, many of the more complicated ones felt incomplete.
