Ebook Giveaway: Fall Down the Mountain by P. D. Singer [CONTEST CLOSED]

Congrats to Lily, who won the copy of Miles and the Magic Flute by Heidi Cullinan!

Many thanks to P. D. Singer for donating a pdf copy of her recently released m/m romance, Fall Down the Mountain, for a lucky commenter to win!

Ski patrol Mark McAvoy dug Ulf’s body out of the avalanche; the dead man haunts his dreams. Mark needs someone to wake him from the nightmares as much as he wants someone to share his days. He gave up the fleeting encounters with vacationing skiers who don’t remember his name later, but he’s aghast at the well-meaning friends who are trying to round up potential boyfriends.

Chef Allan Tengerdie cooks dinner for seventy skiers every day, delivers it to their condos, and eats his own meals alone. A chance invitation to a pot-luck at Mark’s home is his perfect opportunity to captivate a hungry, lonely man. Mark’s ready to be there for him, even after he gets hurt on the slopes, until another man’s shadow falls across them.

That man is dead, and now the grand jury wants Mark to explain his role in the avalanche that killed him.

In What Order Should You Read the Mountain Books?
“If you’re just coming to the Mountains, Fall Down is a perfectly good place to start.” – P. D.

About P. D.

Honest, I’m not the interesting bit – the stories are. If you need a bit of bio – here’s what I put up on my publisher’s website:

P.D. Singer’s consolation for a blown identity as an international spy is to proofread top-secret documents, conduct clandestine experiments in ethanol chemistry, and write m/m stories. Based now in Colorado, she camps, hikes, and skis at every opportunity, giving her a new way to come in from the cold. She has been known to wrestle skunks for the last marshmallow and win. She regrets taking up raising Poison Dart Frogs because the tanks are so dangerous to clean, but regrets nothing about her propensity to tell tall tales.

Of course, I put that up before I found out that poison dart frogs are only poisonous if they’ve been eating fire ants, because they recycle the poison.

That I would have to post the disclaimer after finding out I made an error, which I try not to do, basically tells you everything you need to know about me.

You can find out more about P. D. at her blog, LiveJournal, Facebook, or author page at Torquere Press.

Ebook giveaway: Gay Friendly by Kim Dare [CONTEST CLOSED]

Congrats to Barbara, who won the copy of Life After Joe by Harper Fox! (And congrats to Harper on the official release of Life After Joe yesterday!)

Many thanks to Kim Dare for donating an ebook copy of her forthcoming kinky m/m romance, Gay Friendly (G-A-Y, Book 9) for a lucky reader to win! Gay Friendly will be released on July 5 by Total-E-Bound. Kim is donating all her royalties for this book to Ty Hafan Children’s Hospice – read on for details.

Ellis thought a gay friendly hotel sounded nice. He didn’t realise just how friendly the men there would be…

Ellis is gay and out – technically at least. Unfortunately the only other gay man he’s acquainted with is his cousin Harry. When he suddenly gets the chance to visit a gay friendly hotel with his cousin, in exchange for paying his share of the petrol money, he assumes the impromptu holiday will be a nice gentle way to ease his way into gay society before he starts university in September.

Dominant Mitchell Thompson has fond memories of the hotel where he came out almost two decades ago. He returns there every year, and always finds it to be exactly the same unashamedly kinky hook-up party it has always been. When he stumbles across a sweet little novice who’s obviously way out of his depth at the resort, his trip down memory lane suddenly becomes far more interesting.

Gay Friendly is the ninth book in the G-A-Y collection, but since they are linked solely by theme, all the books can also be read as standalone titles. Additionally, the plot of the book, has nothing to do with the great work Ty Hafan does.

Excerpt (scroll down)

A Word from Kim:

100% of all the royalties I receive for the book, primary and secondary sales over the full duration of the contract, will be donated to Ty Hafan Children’s Hospice.

That means everyone who buys the book direct from the TEB website will be donating 70p (just over $1 US) to a really fantastic cause.

Here’s a bit about the charity (taken from their website):

Ty Hafan offers comfort, care and support for life-limited children and young people and is dedicated to improving the quality of life of their whole family.

Ty Hafan was established in 1999 to provide respite, palliative and end of life care to the children in Wales who suffer from life-limiting conditions. Life limiting conditions are those which mean that the child or young person is not expected to reach nineteen years of age.

Children suffer from various conditions, such as Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, Cystic Fibrosis and Celebral Palsy. Some children are diagnosed at birth; others receive no diagnosis or at some point treatment is abandoned. Children and their families might receive our support for many years or just for a few days at the end of life. Either way, Ty Hafan provides love, care and support for the children and their families absolutely free of charge.

Ty Hafan is a registered charity and was established entirely from public donations. It now costs £2.5 million a year to run the hospice and all but 17% (Government funding) is raised through the generosity of our donors and supporters.

About Kim

26 years old, from Wales, UK, Kim writes about kink, love and happy endings. If a story doesn’t have those three things, it’s not going to be written – at least not by this writer!

Apart from that, Kim likes to write a little bit of everything. So far that list includes Male/Male, Male/Female, a few different varies of menage, shifters, vampires, fairytales, time-travel and ghosts. It’s anyone’s guess what will come next…

A firm believer that there is no “One True Way” for people to kink, Kim likes to let the characters in each book pick their own ways to dominate and submit to each other. As long as they stay safe, sane and consensual, Kim’s happy to let them live their lifestyle 24/7, or just open the toy box on weekends – whatever’s right for them.

Published since 2008, Kim also writes BDSM erotic romances for Total-e-bound and Resplendence.

Ebook Giveaway: Miles and the Magic Flute by Heidi Cullinan [CONTEST CLOSED]

Congrats to Deanna, who won Litha’s Constant Whim by Amy Lane! Litha’s Constant Whim is being released by Dreamspinner today.

Many thanks to Heidi Cullinan for donating an ebook copy of her recently released paranormal m/m romance, Miles and the Magic Flute!

When the forest behind a Minnesota [Chris: Yay, Minnesota!!!] pawn shop turns out to be the doorway into a faerie paradise, Miles Larson doesn’t see any reason to complain. He’s bankrupt, single, and living in a trailer in his backwoods hometown after being laid off from his big city job: he could use a little downtime in a homoerotic dreamland.

But Miles soon learns that in the faerie world, nothing is quite as simple as it seems. The beautiful faerie man who has captured Miles’s heart might also be after Miles’s soul. The frightening beast who chases him through the forest is actually a noble-hearted human under a terrible curse. And at the center of it all is the deathly beautiful Lord of Dreams, a faerie so powerful that if Miles so much as looks at his face, he will be lost in dreamland forever.

The only hope for Miles’s escape is a magic flute, an enchanted instrument that holds the answer to the faerie lord’s defeat. But even if Miles is smart and strong enough to wield it, will he dare? When the cold light of truth dawns, if there is no reality beneath the love he’s found in the faerie realm, Miles will have to return to his own world – alone.

Absolutely Hysterical Interview of Harper by Josh Lanyon

More About Harper

Harper Fox weaves her stories from her home in rural Northumbria in the UK. She loves northern England all the more because it is the country of her adoption – her grandfather came here as a refugee from Lithuania during the Second World War. The landscape inspires her to poetry of the magical-realist kind, and her work has appeared in several British literary magazines. She is not quite sure why the area also inspires her to erotic M/M prose, but she doesn’t look the gift horse in the mouth.

Harper has been published by Carina (her first success), Samhain Publishing and Loose Id. She has written M/M stories all her life, and she hid them in drawers until the hard drive was invented. She loves being able to share her romances with a readership now, as well as the backgrounds they’re set against, which are some of her favourite places in the UK.

She is lucky enough to have lived for the past twenty-four years with her SO, Jane. She isn’t that old, really – they met when they were very young. Honest.

Ebook Giveaway: Sleepwalker by Jordan Castillo Price [CONTEST CLOSED]

Many thanks to Jordan Castillo Price for donating an ebook copy of her forthcoming m/m thriller, Sleepwalker, for a lucky reader to win! Sleepwalker will be released by JCP Books on June 20.

Daniel Weber (“Web” to his friends) was a promising young biology student on the fast track to a prestigious grad program. That was a year and a half ago. Now he’s working a dead-end security job and living in his cousin’s two-flat. Thanks to the mysterious George, he’s got gaps in his memory too big for his pocket notebook to fill.

Jesse Ray Jones is the taxidermist who’s trying to help the Faris Natural Sciences Center secure the MAHPS Grant, a funding that would keep the foundering organization afloat for a few more years. He looks like a skatepunk and talks like a science major, which pushes Web’s every last hot-button.

It’s lust at first sight…but hooking up proves difficult when a supervisor at the Center is found bludgeoned to death in the petroglyph alcove – and Jesse and Web are the primary suspects.

About Amy

Amy Lane teaches high school English, mothers four children, and writes the occasional book. When she’s not begging students to sit-the-hell-down or taxiing kids to soccer/dance/karate – oh my! she can be found catching emergency naps, grocery shopping, or hiding in the bathroom, trying to read without interruption. She will never be found cooking, cleaning, or doing domestic chores, but she has been known to knit up an emergency hat/blanket/pair of socks for any occasion whatsoever, or sometimes for no reason at all. She writes in the shower, while commuting, while her classes are doing bookwork, or while she’s wandering the neighborhood at night, pretending to exercise and has learned from necessity to type like the wind. She lives in a spider infested and crumbling house in a shoddy suburb, and counts on her beloved Mate, Mack, to keep her tethered to reality – which he does while keeping her cell-phone charged as a bonus. She’s been married for 20+ years and still believes in Twu Wuv, with a capital Twu and a capital Wuv, and she doesn’t see any reason at all for that to change.

  • If you haven’t commented before, your comment will not be visible until after I moderate it. Please do not leave a second comment because your first doesn’t show up! The blog gnomes will decide your comments are spam and then only ritual dust bunny sacrifice will salvage your entry…
  • If your comment is actually an advertisement or if your CommentLuv link turns it into an advertisement, your comment will be deleted. (Most of you do not need to worry – this refers to some pretty clever comment spam.)
  • Winners will be selected by random number.
  • You must leave a valid email address in the “Email” portion of the comment form.
  • Please make sure that your spam filter allows email from stumblingoverchaos.com!
  • If a winner doesn’t respond to my congratulations email within 48 hours, I will select another winner.
  • If you win, please respect the author’s intellectual property and don’t make copies of the ebook for anyone else.
  • This contest is open worldwide!
