Ebook Giveaway: Like Coffee and Doughnuts by Elle Parker [CONTEST CLOSED]

Congrats to Sandy Jay, who won the copy of Kim Dare’s Bi Now, Gay Later!

Many thanks to author Elle Parker, who has graciously donated an ebook copy of her wonderful romantic m/m suspense, Like Coffee and Doughnuts, for me to give away! Like Coffee and Doughnuts was recently released in print (click on the cover below for more info), and the ebook sequel, Like Beer and Pizza, will be out later this year. (Like Coffee and Doughnuts is one of my comfort rereads…)

Florida P.I., Dino Martini, is as old school as he can be in the modern age. He may do much of his work on a computer these days, but he carries a gun, he drives a convertible, and he lives on the beach. Well, close to the beach. He’s got his best friend and mechanic, Seth Donnelly, to back him up in a fight, and there’s not a lot more he could ask from life.

That is, until his world is turned upside down. In the space of a few days, Dino moves into a new apartment, gets tangled up in a dangerous case, and finds himself with a new boyfriend. The snag is, he’s never had a boyfriend before, and the one in question is Seth. Dino’s got to figure out if he can handle this new twist of fate. Just as he’s thinking maybe he can, the shit hits the fan and he stands to lose Seth in more ways than one.

About Elle:

Elle Parker likes her heroes snarky and human, and she writes with a realism that incorporates humor and everyday detail into steamy and exciting stories. Although she writes a few forms of erotica, her first love and primary focus is M/M Erotic Romance. She works hard to create characters you can’t help but fall in love with.

Most of the time, Elle can be found in her home in the north woods of Wisconsin, working on her latest novel, or spending time with her husband and teenaged kids. When not writing, she likes reading, brewing beer and swimming with the loons. Unless it’s winter. In that case she grabs a book and drinks the beer.

She’s also a great fan of country bars, and can often be found in one, plugging the jukebox and getting ready to shoot a game of pool. It’s often during these times that she gets some of her best inspiration.

Hope Tuesday is good to you hon!

  3. Don’t count me in because I’ve read this but anyone would be crazy not to try for this book. Really great read. Just my little promo for the day. 🙂

Oh and my cat Max is addicted to chocolate muffins. If I have one and leave the paper on the coffee table he is up there licking it and nibbling on it. Weirdness.
.-= Tam´s last blog ..Short is sexy =-.

  4. I have a vet in my current knitting class who swears that all the black cats she has ever met follow their owners around. True?
.-= Mary Lou´s last blog ..Wool Ad =-.

  5. Welcome, Elle! Yeah, they do goofy well, don’t they?

Mary Lou: I can’t speak for other black kitties, but Chaos & Mayhem do take turns following me around, just in case I do something interesting.

    Margene: Alas. *sniff*

  6. Making up to Chaos with doughnuts over the whole vet fiasco? I don’t think it will work 🙂 But I’m in for the book!

  7. I’m entering. 🙂 I’d also like some coffee…and a custard filled eclair, please. 😉

Adorable picture of Chaos – makes me want to pet his belly…except for the whole pulling back a bloody stump part.

  8. Mary Lou: I had a black kitteh that used to follow me around, too. Then again, I also grew up with one who would intentionally *not* do whatever kittehs (black or otherwise) were supposed to do, just to be stubborn. So there you go.

Chris: I’m with Chaos. Donuts. Now. Please? (But no contest, as per usual.)

  9. Hi Chris!

Thanks for hosting another giveaway and Ellie is another new to me author. I would love to be entered.

I love donuts too Chaos – the ones with cream inside. *g*

    Thanks again

  10. I liked the plot and excerpt I read. Can’t wait to read how Seth and Dino progress to the couple stage.

Thanks for the chance to win this story.

  11. I would love to try this book. I just finished reading two books last night (in lieu of knitting), and it was a good time had by all (except maybe the dog who was bored with me sitting there reading).
.-= Seanna Lea´s last blog ..my poor little bug =-.

  12. I recall when Like Coffee and Doughnuts came out last year and just knew I had to have it. I look forward in reading it.

    Thanks.

  13. Doughnuts….doughnuts….did someone say doughnuts?! I love doughnuts and as bribery Chaos, I’ll share some with you. And since you think so highly of this book Chris, I’d love a chance to win it.

  14. Can you believe I live in a town without a single donut shop? Apparently there used to be a local chain with 3 or 4 shops, and it went out of business. I had no idea how much I liked donuts (real ones, freshly made) until I didn’t have any!
    .-= janna´s last blog ..Miss Me? =-.

  15. Another great giveaway. I’m entering this.

I don’t have any donuts for you, Chaos. Do you like oatmeal cookies?

  16. I’m entering the contest. This sounds like a good one. Let Chaos have a little piece of a doughnut.

  17. Elle Parker likes her heroes snarky and human, and she writes with a realism that incorporates humor and everyday detail into steamy and exciting stories.

Hey, that alone has me sold. I’m in. Thanks!

  18. I’d be willing to share a doughnut with chaos if he could help hook a girl up with a free book. ^^
