I recently won lost a contest over at Knitting on Trial, but I was so persistent that Christine awarded me a prize anway. The prize arrived Saturday – a cute dachsund card, a lovely skein of Opal, and a very fun skein of Sockatta. Thank you, Christine!
Christine included a present for Chaos without even realizing she’d done so – tissue paper. Chaos loves him some tasty tissue paper.
“Oh, this yellow is simply scrumptious!”
“That’s too bad, all you got was yarn.”
“Tissue paper makes me itchy, but it’s so good!!”
🙂
my kitties like to *sleep* on tissue paper. I can’t explain it.
Ah, to be pleased so easily. I wish all things brought that much joy. Congrats btw!!
My kitties sleep on tissue paper too, Michaele! But it really wouldn’t surprise me to find Jamal eating it, just so he can be like Chaos. :o)
So how’s the Hourglass coming today? I’m finding myself knitting like crazy whenever I’m watching the Olympics…being a god Spectator Knitter.
Did you all get any snow or was it only way out east?
Well, I meant GOOD. I’m certainly never going to be GOD.
Ha!
My father’s cat eats scotch tape. We have to be really careful at Christmas and on birthdays.
Hey, I have an Opal like that. I even started it well over a year ago. Yours might get finished before mine 😉
My kids get like that with bubble wrap.
Kirsten – Heh, that would make Jamal a copy cat… 😉
Oh, the Hourglass. We fought a little yesterday (on the sleeve), but I think we’re set now (after a complete sleeve redesign). Just killing time at work until I can go home and knit!
I like god specator better than good spectator – hee hee. Nope, we didn’t get any snow at all.
Mama Tulip – Yeah, I think that tissue paper digests a little better than tape… It sure cheers up the litter box, I must say!
It could be worse – I used to have a cat who went bonkers for fresh coconut. Now that was just plain WEIRD. And Chaos – cute even when digesting yellow tissue paper!
🙂
Mmmm, tissue paper. Kinda crunchy and soft at the same time. Like a toasted Pita pocket.
Hey, quit goofing off………get back to your knitting, you slacker……..
Tissue paper’s kind of salty. Um. I mean the cats said so.
My kitties like to gnaw on charmin toilet paper plastic wrapping and ear wax. Go figure.
Moemee LOVES plastic grocery bags and taco bell wrappers wadded up to play fetch with. But I’ve always said that poor cat is going to die of poisoning some day, we’re forEVER digging crap out of his mouth. “What’s the baby got in his mouth?!?” could actually mean 1 of TWO things in our house
Love the new look – and how jealous can one person be of another person’s vacume? Because I’m that times ten.
JJ
ack – sorry Chris, accidentally posted the LAST post on the wrong blog *hangs her head in blogger shame*
My husband’s family has a Great Dane who goes CRAZY over tissue and wrapping paper. For Christmas we wrap up treats in tissue paper, and on Easter we wrap up shelless hard boiled eggs. He just loves it! How’s the sweater coming?
Wilbur The Amazing Deaf Cat regularly saves me from all sorts of vicious paper. It’s really quite a service. Clearly Chaos knows this.
Ophelia likes to shred paper. It is her Olympic sport 🙂
Oh I can’t wait to see how the opal knits up 🙂 Chai (my resident cat) runs from crinkling paper and runs to crinkling foil ***CV
Fun, fun, fun. But how’s the sweater coming?
The yellow yarn is really pretty ;o) Does Chaos like plastic shopping bags too?
Thank you for the link to the cute kitty pattern! I was wondering how they did that type of leg structure!
So did Chaos say if the tissue paper was banana or lemon chiffon flavor? Surely not mustard!

lovely prize! i’m sure the litterbox is all set and decorated for a party now. 🙂
MMMM sock yarn. I love sock yarn. Don’t do anything with it apparently, but I loves me some sock yarn, indeed.
Lucky gal. 🙂
Chaos is a lucky guy too.
My cat loves, LOVES, crumpled up receipts. She’ll dig them out of the trash and bat them around for hours. When she’s done, she’ll carry the receipt in her mouth to one of the Mr.’s shoes and leave it for him to play with.
Ooh, I love the yellow!
Snap – I’ve got exactly the same shade of Sockatta. I’m sure its a stretchy one too & they fit the best.
I haven’t yet given Thunder any tissue paper. He’s out again though and now behaving like a model bunny – funny how he’s good as gold now his daddy’s home :0)
