A knitting update

Elisa is having a contest – read about her typical day, then take some pictures and post about your typical day. Leave Elisa a comment or send her an email with the link to your post by February 25. There will be mysterious prizes! And fun! ๐Ÿ˜‰

I’m about 2/3 of the way through season 5 of 24. Things got very intense, so I’ve been taking a break for a few days. Plus, I needed to catch up on my library books – especially the new books that I can’t renew!

I have made good progress on the refined raglan, both while watching 24 and while reading.

“What have we here?” -M
“Duh. Obviously it’s a cat bed.” -C

“Oh, how clever – it even has cat toys built in!” -C
“Wait, is that yarn I see?!” -M

“Yarn!” *chew chew chew* -M

Ack! I must go rescue my sweater!

  1. Maybe it’s a “kitten” thing? My elderly babies show no interest, and The Meezer only wants to chase, not bite…

You’ve made progress on that sweater, tho’! Wow!
And thanks for the reminder, I have a couple library books to return soon – no not read, who has time in a move?
    (((hugs)))

  2. That’s funny… I was thinking, “What’s that weird thing on the right of the sweater? A sash? An extra arm? Oh. It’s a kitty tail.” ๐Ÿ˜€

  3. Eek! Your kitty wonder twins are off on another mission to save the world from black sweaters!

Great pictures, they really know how to team up in the cute and mischief departments ;o)

  4. it’s cold here in jersey lately and somehow one of my cats ended up underneath our covers and her head was inside my pillow case. i woke up in the middle of the night wondering why my pillow was purring.

    I love that one!

24 isn’t available through our library so I am avoiding it. For now. So stop trying to tempt me.

Lost starts again tonight — Woot!

  6. wow…

    i admire ya…

i’m desperate to make a sweater one day, just too lazy…

and with the reading and watching tv and knitting at the same time?
    bow.

  7. Your sweater is looking great, much less like a ball of cat this picture. Do Chaos or May ever make your yarn soggy, my sister’s cat loves to slobber up her yarn and mine too when I’m visiting.

Oh and hey, next posting if you wouldn’t mind, your so good at getting the word out, I’m venturing a new project to help a fellow knitter who just found out her husband has been diagnosed with lymphoma. I posted about it today on my blog, and will post again about it tomorrow, it’s called “Blanket of Hope”. If you don’t mind, if you do that’s fine too.

  8. When i first glanced at the sweater photo, I thought WHOA! THAT is some incredibly lustrous yarn!!! Oops, it’s a cat (Chaos, right?).

  9. Oh, thanks for the Barbara Walker & Elisa links!

That Chaos. But it’s Mayhem causing most of the yarn, er, Mayhem.

Black goes with everything. Those socks are fine with those shoes.

  10. ooooh, i’m loving the black raglan!

especially with that extra pair of detachable sleek’n’glossy black cat sleeves…i hear they’re all the rage this year. they may not sit still at the opera, though. (although they might sing along)

    *giggle*

  11. hey! i too am exactly 2/3 through season 5 of 24. i gotta say…it’s getting a little too predictable yet far-fetched at the same time. i’m starting to make fun of the way jack talks. “I DON”T CARE HOW YOU GET IT TO ME CHLOE JUST GET IT TO ME NOWWWW!!!!!!”
