Reading Update
False Value: Rivers of London #8 by Ben Aaronovitch. Peter goes to work at a software company.
“You’re all still here?! Sheesh.” -Mayhem
Throw it in the dirt! LOL.
It looks like we have gorgeous spring weather – it’s brilliantly sunny, the grass is green and long, the tulips and daffodils are blooming. But walk outside and you get a nasty surprise at how cold it is. We even had a few light snow flurries yesterday. But I’m hoping that last night was our last hard freeze of the year, even if we still get some snow (we had snow in late May the last 2 years).
Oh man. I wouldn’t have guessed correctly, either.
I like calling it “physical distancing” better than “social distancing”.
I saw that article from Naomi Kritzer about her short story, too. I haven’t read the story yet, but I have plans to get to it this weekend. I’ve also been watching Seanan McGuire’s tweets about similarities between COVID-19 and the events in her novel FEED (as Mira Grant). Crazy stuff. “No one could have predicted this!” Um… yeah no. SFF writers have been predicting this for ages.
Wait what? An office noise simulator? NO!!! There’s a reason I use noise cancelling headphones at the office!
A recent post from Nicole..[love is more thicker than forget] by E.E. Cummings
The Queen is kicking ass!
I can’t stop watching this (and his cover of Queen’s “We Will Rock You” is also excellent):
