Book Giveaway: So Into You (Contest Closed)

Now, on to the next contest. 🙂 Many thanks again to the Hatchette Book Group for providing five copies of Sandra Hill’s contemporary romance, So Into You, for me to give away!

Angel Sabato has been in love with best friend Grace O’Brien for 10 years–but he’s only just realized it. Too bad she doesn’t take him seriously when he tells her about his feelings. Reeling from the rejection, Angel hightails it out of town.

Now Grace is left to wonder if her problems from the past are keeping her from opening herself to love. But she brushes these “useless” musings aside, concentrating instead on the work she’s doing as an apprentice to folk healer Tante Lulu and keeping up with the old woman’s good deeds.

Such as starting a foundation to help families still homeless after Hurricane Katrina. One family consists of 5 children who lost their parents. The eldest, only seventeen, has been struggling to take care of her siblings and lying like heck to the state agencies in order to keep everyone together. Tante Lulu and Grace take the children under their wings and decide the foundation will build a house for them.

Re-enter Angel, who helps with the construction. Unbeknownst to Grace, Tante Lulu has decided to try her hand at matchmaking again. And Tante Lulu has never failed before!

    Heh. I know that cat trick. They stare at something for hours until you finally get up to look, too. Then the cat gives you this total look of disdain that says, “made you look, fool”.

  36. Does she eat the bugs? I had a cat that would chatter when she saw a fly in the window, and she’d eat it when she caught it.

    That library is WAY cool! How can you spend only your lunch hour there?

    Would you do a techie post about computers? Say, maybe what to look for in a laptop if you’re after only one, or maybe what to stay away from (because the what to get is so varied). Any thoughts about Vista? OK to get on now since you get the free Windows 7 upgrade?

  43. Chris, a few things: 1) on behalf of my Lovely Daughter, THANKS! You’re her new-stuff-top-read Guru and tickled about it; 2) don’t you love your wee Dell? I have a teetiny EeePC, and it’s the perfect thing for carrying easily everywhere. I LOVE my cherished Dell laptop (“Daisy” by name) but for travel or for note-taking and transcription at our Historical Society Archives. And 3) Evangeline sends warm greetings to Chaos and Mayhem; she looks just like them – except has a larger white patch on her lower tummy. We call it “the naughty spot”. She IS a lady, of course; we’re just joshing.
