“No one’s looking, right?” -Chaos
“Hey, I can see you in there, big kitty!” -Mayhem
“No you can’t, Mayhem. No one can see me.” -Chaos
“I am invisible.” -Chaos
“Wait a minute – what are you looking at?!” -Chaos
“I’m outta here! How embarrassing…” -Chaos
What? You can’t tell what my completed project is from those pictures?! 😉 It’s the Everlasting Bagstopper from Knitty, knit from 1.75 balls of Lion Brand Kitchen Cotton in Salt & Pepper.
Instead of the ribbon handles from the pattern, I knit seven stitch i-cord belt handles. (Using an odd number of stitches and two doublepointed needles, knit half the stitches plus one. With yarn in front, slip the remaining stitches as if to purl. Turn and repeat. It won’t look like anything for the first inch or two, then suddenly you’ll have a column of garter stitch with i-cord on each side of it. That Elizabeth Zimmermann – brilliant!)
“Is it my turn yet, big kitty?” -Mayhem
From the first two pics, I would have sworn it was a pair of gigantic underwear 😉
Oh, Marina’s so funny! Heh. I think I may have to make that pattern, because I know I have so Kitchen Cotton lying around somewhere.
Looks like they’re both trying to get into the bag!
I’m trying to figure out the explosion of fluff that I assume is his tail in the ‘invisible’ shot. His tail looks so sleek in the rest of them that it’s not making sense. (maybe I’m just not awake enough yet)
It’s funny how your last post detailed yoru great weakness for bags and this post is all about the great bag you just finished. 😉
Ha! The truth is that I was right there with Marina, except I was thinking knitted thong?
I do love me some kitty in a bag, though. Most def!
Phew – I thought you’d knitted him a thong too….
Very cool bag!
Your cat is a contortionist! 8^P
Great bag!
i love chaos
and my gutter mind thought knit thong at first too
Love the bag…so do Chaos and Mayhem from the looks of it!
Hmmpfh. My cat is totally not into small, confined places. I’m going to have to give away the cat condo tower I bought a couple of weeks ago – she won’t go near it. Stupid cat.
Love the bag. Chaos is tooo funny.
A Bag Boy pin-up! I feel a swoon coming on…..
That bag is in perfect stealth colors. There’s a road trip in’im, I know it.
Cool bag – now I need to make one, and I have a cone of black Kitchen Cotton too!
P.S. Marina, I also thought it was underwear 🙂
“Do not adjust your monitor; there is nothing wrong with your monitor; the image on you rmonitir is exactly what is meant to be on your monitor.” Any of those warnings might have been nice before I got a look at all that. I know it’s all just 1s and 0s but in that arrangement – it’s really hard on the eyes!!
The cats are hysterical
…but sometimes I’m not sure where they leave off and the bag starts! Cool bag!
(((hugs)))
New cat carrier, eh?
I LURVE the way the stripes came out on your bag!
I thought it was Peaches ‘n’ Creme thong in the first picture. Thank you for disabusing my of such a ridiculous notion.
Hehehe..I love how they’re playing with it! Nice in that colorway too. Thanks for the Icord info, I just started my base last nite, hope to try this Icord. 🙂
Wow – that bag would send the scanners at Target crazy!
The bag is great – and Chaos’ disappearing act is a hoot!
That looks great! I knit a market bag in that same yarn. Great stuff that salt and pepper.
at first I just liked the colour, then I thought it was a kitty hat, then I realized it was a bit big for a kitty hat. so I thought it might be a bag. and lo! It WAS a bag. Talk about useless psychic powers…..
omgosh… tears streaming down my cheeks with hilarious laughter. Love that third photo of Chaos pretending to be invisible…….
great bag btw 🙂
LOL! It did look like Chaos was crawling into some knitted underthings. It is his color so I can see why he wanted to crawl in it. It’s a cool looking bag in black and white.
Whew, it’s just a bag! LOL And not some magic cloak of invisibility from Hogwarts or something. 🙂
