Woe the Mayhem – is her cuteness in danger??!

Yet another telephone switch upgrade last night, although it fell apart really fast, so I was in bed by 11:30 pm – just going to sleep in a bit with my snuggly kitties as you read this…

If you live in the Twin Cities and are interested in going to see A Prairie Home Companion at the Minnesota State Fair Friday night for free, let Annie Modesitt know ASAP. She has tickets to give away because that’s the day her husband has surgery. Send good thoughts his way!

Ari is having a raffle over at Baking and Books to support the 2007 New York Jewish Environmental Bike Ride, held by Hazon. a non-profit working on sustainable agriculture, organic farming, and other food issues. She has over 75 cookbooks/prizes, donated by publishers, to give away for the raffle (which ends September 3).

Schrodinger is celebrating her own string of contest wins by having a contest. She’s giving away three very cool “cube” sock bags – leave a comment by 11:59 pm EDT, September 4, if you’d like a chance to win.

“Moooooooommmmmm!! Can’t we go to sleep yet?! You’re really messing up my beauty sleep again with this working overnight stuff. What if my cuteness starts to fade from exhaustion?!!” -Mayhem

  1. Ugh! Not again! Stupid technology…

May – no chance. If any one messes with your beauty sleep, let Gandalf know, and he’ll come over and set ’em straight.

  2. Aren’t you playing “where in the world is Mrs. Pao”?

Isn’t she on this side of the pond? Those two sound like an absolute hoot. Not to mention their multitude of kittitude!

  3. Awww, there is nothing quite so heartbreaking (and rare!) as a sleep-deprived kitty. I’m sure you all got your snuggling somnolent time together, though 🙂

  4. What a big yawn! Cats are so fond of their routines. When I was a kid and visited my grandmother, her big orange cat Max would jump up on the card table (a running jump and slide) totally messing up our double solitaire or cribbage game when he thought it was bedtime. But I bet May is sneaking in some good sleeping time while you are at work.

  5. “You keep me up in the night, I’ll make you pay…”
At least that’s what The Meezer tells me!
(and May, that’s one ferocious face you’re showing off there!)
Hope the late night stuff ends soon. I don’t know how you do it!
    (((hugs)))

  6. Don’t worry, Mayhem, I don’t think your cuteness will fade. But if it starts to, take beauty cat naps on your mom’s computer or knitting when she is trying to be busy, and I bet she will start letting you get more sleep.
    🙂

  7. Poor Mayhem. I hate it when my sleep patterns are disrupted too, particularly for [insert loathing tone] work.

That’s some sock love Chaos is demonstrating (post below!) No toes were harmed in that pic, I hope!
