Brief linkity of brevity

Polly, apparently looking into the abyss. Or maybe at some of the “stairs that can kill you” entries!

Some side-eye from Harry.

Jakob, DUDE! Every picture, I’m just thinking “I had that shirt. I had those shorts. I had that acid.”

Really weird is one of those homes that makes me want to send the owner a Thank You card. “Thank You for attempting to beautify the world by gathering all that unattractive strangeness, and hiding it away in your house. Unfortunately, photos have been leaked.”

Repurposed shelves is actually rather brilliant. We’ve all seen these split step stairways before, but this is the first that’s designed for both right-footed and left-footed people. Brilliant. I do wonder why the bottom few steps are painted white? And, mind you, that rag a few steps up on the right-footed side is a risk.

Mysterious is quite clear to me, thanks to the “Request Showing” banner. Obviously, the fan unwinds and lowers, to resemble a spiral staircase. Upon stepping on the lowest blade, it reverses it’s course, lifting the passenger to a position near the top of the stairs, not in frame. From there, the person hops from the fan to the stairs, and descends. As they do so, the heavy rope attached to the post next to the case loops itself, unnoticed, around their neck. Note the bottom step – it is white, with a dark stripe across it. That is a spinning step, which pivots around that dark bar. Upon placing their weight on this step, it spins out from under them, and the drop tightens the noose. Yes, this is an execution device, and the next showing is at 2:00 pm tomorrow. Stairs that aredesigned to kill you.

5,000 gallons of Bourbon, and you’re wondering if the showers are hard to clean? After enough whiskey, yes! HomeTours is wondering if they’re taking the shelves when they leave? I’m wondering if they’re leaving the whisky when I buy it!

Move over, Addams Family. Little Falls is MINE. From the foreboding exterior, I didn’t expect to see so many warm and welcoming aspects. The details on the fireplaces, the woodwork features, the floors, the attic and basement rooms? MINE.

So much wrong could not be more right! See, there you are, stripped nekkid, because all your clothes are in the washer, right? What better time to duck under the stairs for a shower, which has been cleverly disguised as supports for the steps? And then, when you and the laundry are ready, you just climb into the dryer together, and through the magic of tumble action, you come out fully garbed and ready for the day!

  2. Love the wood in the wood flooring/paneling house.

I hate brick/stone walls for the very issue of cleaning. In a shower is so many times worse.

Weird house scares me. I keep looking at all of those tubs and being afraid I would fall into them and kill myself.
