Reading Update
The Body Is Not An Apology: The Power of Radical Self-Love by Sonya Renee Taylor. I definitely need to reread this and journal about the prompts and questions.
The Time of the Dark (Darwath #1) by Barbara Hambly. I enjoyed it as I read it, but I’m not sure I’ll read the rest of the series.
Lights on, nobody home in Chaos land.
OMG, that house!!!
OMG, that house is horribly awesome. It reminds me of a house I witnessed relatively close to home which the owners named the “CANaloupe Castle.” (OMG! And I just found an article about it!) We went there to look at a baby grand piano they were selling, and though we decided not to buy it (because it was painted cantaloupe orange) they gave us a tour of the house. There was a desert island room (I think a bathroom?), one of the bedrooms was done up like a tent in Arabian Nights, and so much more that I got overwhelmed. I wish we had been able to take pictures, but this was before the days of cell phone cameras, and it would have been rude anyway. Anyway, that was 20+ years ago, and I’ve still seen nothing like it. Thanks for the accidental trip down memory lane. 🙂
The seriously, unsurprising, and BOOM stuff is so true. I wish it didn’t surprise me, but honestly? After 4 years of this administration (and the hints we had in the lead up that allowed this) I am not surprised.
