(*Idea shamelessly stolen from V!)
But first… I can’t even remember the last time I saw gas prices this low. Be sure to check out the lovely grey skies, too! And yes, that is some snow in the background – while Minneapolis only had 4″ of snow on New Year’s Eve, the ‘burbs out where I work had twice that much.
So here it is, the second week of January, and I already have four FOs! I blame 24 for this surge in knitting productivity. It will come as no surprise to any of you that my first three FOs were… bibs. The two in front are for a shower gift; the one in back will go to a craft sale to raise funds for Knittymama’s local greyhound rescue chapter.
Nothing wrong with his logic – but, alas, Mayhem didn’t pay attention to Chaos’ words of wisdom.
And the fourth FO – the purple and black stripey socks, from the yarn Jeanne dyed for my birthday! Do you like my new sock blockers?! I can’t believe what a difference they make for modeling finished socks!
Yay! Thanks so much for the donation. Super cute!
I saw $1.96 on my way into work this morning (or was it last night after I paid $1.99 in the morning at that same station.) I was shocked when I saw it dip below that $2.00 mark.
there are bibs in my future. though I doubt I’ll be competing with you in numbers. (though that could change if the recepient loves them. ooh, come to think of it my cousin is also preggers. ok, there’s more bibs in my future than I first thought). at any rate, I hope I get some cool pooling like that one front right.
and wow, skinny ankles! what a difference those blockers make.
The look on May’s face is so hilarious in the bib-modeling pic. I love it. And the super-hero one.
And it wouldn’t be SOC if there wasn’t bibbage, would it?
Oh, and I have you to blame (thank) for my renewed interest in 24. Think I can watch all 5 seasons before the premier Sunday night?
Three cheers, err, bibs, for Super Kitty!
those sock blockers are so cool–they gots kitties in ’em! * giggle*
and boy, May is really turning into such a lovely girl…she’s starting to look so grown up. (*sniff*!)
LOL…24 is a good show to knit to. I’m watching season 5 in preparation for this weekend’s premiere. I keep muttering things to myself like ‘Dammit! This stitch is running out of time!’ and ‘Who are you knitting for!?!’
May is a great bib model! Hoorah for all your FO’s & for those fantastic sock blockers. They do make a huge difference!
Love the socks and the blockers are adorable.
Great argyling (of course it’s a word) on those bibs! And May is definitely superhero material.
are the bib patterns yours, or did you get them from a book. most excellent.
Michelle
Great sock blockers and tell May she does look like a superhero:)
May was warned to be aware of the bib monster! Cute kitty pictures and good job Jeanne on the yarn dying!
Cute socks! I love Superhero May. There is no way your gas prices are that low! Ours hit $2.79 yesterday.
I love how the colors of your bibs turn out! May looks SO cute with the superhero cape!
She does look like a superhero!!
May look so cool in the bib. She’s like ‘yeah right’ I look good in anything 😉
Chaos always looked so embarassed….
They’re so funny. And is there anything in your place that doesn’t have a black cat on it? Loved the travel mug. V. cute.
