Yesterday I saw the first snow of the season, whipping past my windows on gusts of wind up to 50 miles per hour. Blech. (Even knowing that the snow didn’t stick, I still feel like hibernating until April.)
“What was that?! Outside the window? That tiny fluffy white bird was moving fast!” -Mayhem
As I opened up your page, Gandalf perked up and started pawing the screen when he saw Mayhem. Aww!
I saw our first snow fluttering last week, and I the leaves aren’t even off the trees yet!
Snow? Yikes!
Just as I am coming up for air? Don’t you dare! Or else I might join you 😉
Wow.. snow already? Its getting chilly down here in GA too.. I think we might be in for a very cold winter this year.
We’re having 70 degree days. It will end soon enough and the snow will be flying past our windows, too. Stay warm!
Told You!!! It’s over!
We haven’t seen snow here yet, but the day is not far off. I’m so not looking forward to it!
Yeah. I heard about the snow up in the great white north, but was hoping they were exaggerating. We’re cold and getting colder down here in Middle Earth and it feels too early. Beautiful shot of May!
*sigh* It’s not gonna happen here, but I really love when there’s snow on my birthday (next Monday).
May, I’m sure you’ll get more chances to stare at that kind of really fast white bird…
We had it, too! The day started off beautifully, but the freezing rain/snow (“wintry” mix) rolled in during the evening.
Yikes! Send some of your snow here…
I was so scared I made pot roast –
Clearly winter is taking hold.
May might be skerrt but she looks awfully cute!
It has been getting quite cold here, too. We’ve already had frosts. Neatnik no longer wears shorts to school. Winter is certainly coming.
again… i thought it was too cold in Minnesota to snow
We’ve had some flurries, but nothing has stuck to the ground yet. Thank goodness. Though I have to admit that a sneaky little part of me is kind of looking forward to hibernation.
It was hailing so hard this morning, Julia didn’t want to take the bus. She asked me to drive her. I think she was kind of freaked out, what with the whipping wind and the little ice pellets.
SNOW??? oh my… it’s really too early.
I just don’t think I could survive any farther north than Virginia. I want to hibernate and it’s not nearly cold enough for snow! Stay warm!
Yeah, that snow freaked me out, too.
I could sure use a handwarmer over here, is Mayhem available?
It’s in the 70’s here this week!
Ack! We’re only just getting some frosts. Pretty soon more rain, though.
Wow, snow already. Our weather here cannot make uo its mind, warm one day cold the next.
Snow!!! OMG, how awesome! It was flipping 88 degrees at my house all weekend. NOT winter weather.
YIKES! It’s too early for snow! (It’s always too early for snow.)
They mentioned the “s” word here today too. Thankfully, it will be falling to the west and north of us.
It snowed in Mpls? Really? Not here. We got the wind, though. Gotta go ’round the house and make sure all the windows are latched tight.
Well, you can always come visit me. We rarely get snow here, and when we do it’s only enough to dust the nearby mountains.
Oh ick. I saw a bit of frost on cars when I was out and about yesterday morning. I’m just not ready for this yet. These shorter days just kill me.
I guess it would be rude to say we will be sunny and in the low 80s today. I hope it doesn’t stick for many weeks.
May looks very sleek in that photo.
yep–it did. Settle in, make soup and knit some socks.
The cat door seems to be getting less traffic…..
Not sure if I can make myself get out the x-country skis yet
Oy. So far the precipitation around here is still liquid, but it’s getting colder. We might see a few objects of frozen variety this evening and tomorrow, though. Darn it, just when I was really getting the hang of riding my horse, the season ends… glad I have five feline lapwarmers at home, though.
Wow snow! I think we’re supposed to have our first frost of the season tonight, and the wind has been gusting today.
Snow!? Already!? Whaaat?
It’s a balmy 10C here. Wish I could share…
Stay warm!
Mayhem looks so elegant in that picture!
They are calling for snow here tomorrow and wednesday. Ick! I have to work. Which means I have to go out in it. Ick.
Noooo! It’s not snow season yet, is it??
Yo! That’s scary! We have had some good hail that we almost took to be snow but… nope! I am being a paranoid mom lately hoping each night that it stays warm so my daughter (newly liscenced) does not have any ice at all on the roads as she heads in to class!)
Jeez, isn’t it still too early for that?
Ya May, you got it right. We just step over our expensive S curve scratch scratch too. Momma just gave you an award! Go check out her blog to see what it is. (it’s the rules)
