It’s been cloudy and rainy for the past two days, but we might have some sun today. Things are looking much more autumnal now than when I took these pictures ten days ago, so you’ll just have to imagine some more leaves on the ground.
I love the rich colors of fall flowers. As with their spring and summer counterparts, I have no clue what they are, other than pretty.
See the hitching post almost hidden by the flowers below? Looks to be a more controversial style than the others I’ve photographed.
I thought this goose sculpture was very appropriate for the season.
Wow – this puts the tire swing we had as kids to shame!
“Fine, May, you can leave your phasers set to stun if you want, but I’m taking Mom out after that last bib incident!” -Chaos
“But big kitty, we don’t have thumbs. Who will throw furry mice for me?!!” -Mayhem
😀 Looks like the guys are ready for Hallowe’en!
Wow, that is some swing… Never had one like that when we were kids.
layzur eyez – we haz them.
Those are some glowing eyes!
Let’s face it – hitching posts in the city at all these days could be considered controversial!! I mean when was the last time someone arrived at Chipotle on a horse??
Wow, those eyes look like they could do some major damage!
Beautiful pictures.
stun, disrupt, kill

I think the top flowers are salvia, then mums, then impatiens. I love the deep purples, golden yellows, burgundies and oranges around this time of year.
And that swing? Major swing-envy! I woulda done almost anything to have one like that!
pew! pew! pew!
Do not attempt to adjust your computer monitor. We are controlling transmission. We will control the horizontal. We will control the vertical. We will control you. Bwaaa-haa-haa!
Chaos- Chris is trying to deflect us with flower pictures, but we must put an end to this bib torture. Look what it’s done to your eyes.
It really must stop.
Hehe 🙂 Those glowing eyes are a trifle scary.
There is a man who lives across the street from my MIL who makes those tire swings. His are super elaborate – he paints them, they have manes…he hangs them all over his front yard and sells them – or at least, he tries to. 😉
*ducks quickly*
Apparently they have seen the SNL skit – Laser Cats – and know of their secret powers.
Poor Jack is often employed as a laser cat by Gameboy….I think he secretly likes it though.
Love the pictures. Looks like you have had a bibathon (run Chaos run).
Yikes!!
I’m not going to put any more scarves on Java the Pup!
Holy cow, that’s quite the tire swing. Love the fall photos.
My Kylie will only play with the furry mice and her bell balls when we’re not looking. If she catches us watching, she gets embarrassed and quits.
Pretty flowers!
Ooh, Chaos was quite ticked about the whole bib incident. You’d think he’d be used to it by now. 🙂
Thanks for sharing such beautiful photos of your town. It’s nice that we all still have some flowers left to enjoy.
Ah, the glowy eyes. When are cameras going to come with ‘anti-pet eye’ along with the human ‘anti-red eye?’
Chaos….who will feed you!? All our flowers have been hit with frost. Thanks for one last look.
Nice swing! That would have been a blast. Harder to jump off of, though.
Chaos – be nice now. It’s getting to be cold weather, and if you’re mean to your mom you will have to cuddle up with May (even when she’s being annoying) to stay warm.
We see those hitching posts around here sometimes… mostly out of the city (the very big city of augusta of maybe 20,000 people…). The kid used to blame the border collie for things and I’d tell him, ‘But Maggie does not have opposable thumbs’…
Cloudy, and rainy and COLD! No wonder those cats are cuddled up close together.
Aaaiiieee! Too late. I looked at the laser eyes.
Wow look at the flowers! I like the goose sculpture.
Wow, love that swing! Darn- now I’m torn between a hammock and a swing…I think I’ll go with a hammock. Would be too hard to swing and read a book. Haha.
