Before we get started on all the contests, don’t forget to check out the Knitting Scholar for part one of a fun interview with Kay and Ann of Mason-Dixon Knitting about their upcoming book, Mason-Dixon Knitting: Outside the Lines.

Well, heck, I’m getting all caught up in the contesty excitement here! Although I anticipate doing a “real” contest in a few weeks when my Chaos Kitty turns five, how about a book giveaway right now? If you enjoy urban fantasy/paranormal romance and haven’t read Night Shift, the first Jill Kismet book by Lilith Saintcrow, send an email to my contest line by Sunday, September 14, 9 pm CDT. A winner will be randomly selected from among the entrants. Be warned that, while this is an extremely well-written series, it is also graphically violent at times.
Onward. Work is a bit crazy this week, so I’m not finding a lot of spare brain power to blog… but I’m taking a do-nothing, stay-at-home vacation from the 12th through the 22nd, so hopefully that will revitalize me!
*hug* “This is the best toy ever.” *love* -Mayhem
The kittys must be happy – maybe that’s why May looks so contented – but what happened to the vacation?
Lots of contests in the blogosphere right now!
Chris, this is a wonderful thing you do…rounding up all the contests for us. Thanks so much!
Oh May, it’s nice to see you looking so happy (still).
I love stay-at-home vacations! 🙂
You can see the wuv in her eyes!
Glad to hear you’re taking some time off. 🙂
Thanks for the link, Chris! And, part 2 is coming tomorrow!
Awwwww. Kitty bliss.
Stay at home, do nothing vacations are the best!
VACATION OR BUST!
A do-nothing vacation sounds great! I might have to take one of those… even if just for a day!
My workplace is similarly nuts right now – wish I could join you on your vacation….le sigh…
Ooh, nice 10 day vacation! I need one too, but as I work at home I never get away from work ;( I hope you have a nice one!
Hah! I fully expect you to win most of those contests!
Also? First hug I’ve ever seen with claws out!
Do nothing stay at home vacations are really good vacations indeed. I’m looking forward to something like that at Christmas.
Hez likes hers too, May.
Chaos is five? Already? Yowza.
Do remember the bit about do-nothing – it seems to me that every time I take a stay-at-home-vacation, I fill up all that ‘extra’ time with errands and chores, and end up more tired than I would have been had I just ‘stayed at work’. Better to take the kitties as role models – THEY know how to have fun and relax at home!
yay for stay-at-home vacations!
Wow, look at the contests!
A do nothing, stay at home vacation sounds wonderful. Work has been crazy here too.
Maybe I’ll have to fill one of those afternoons!
I’m guessing that the stay-cation will involve lots of walks, biking, reading, and knitting, plus plenty of kitty snuggling. I think I am getting jealous just typing those words…
